A \u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courtlistener.com\/docket\/67806768\/1\/alameda-research-llc-v-bankman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lawsuit<\/a> filed this week alleges that Bankman-Fried \u2062and his mother, Stanford Law professor Barbara\u2062 Fried, conspired to make illegal campaign contributions to Mind the Gap.<\/p>\n<p>Bankman-Fried&#8217;s former company, FTX,\u2064 revealed the scheme\u2064 in a lawsuit against Fried,\u200b in which the law professor is accused of aiding and abetting her son&#8217;s fraud against the cryptocurrency exchange.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the latest\u200b in\u200d a string of controversial clients for Elias,\u200b who as an attorney for failed Democratic presidential candidate \u2064Hillary Clinton commissioned an infamous dossier\u2063 that falsely accused the Trump campaign of colluding \u200cwith Russia to influence the 2016 election. Elias&#8217;s firm has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/revealed-clinton-world-takeover-of-black-lives-matter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">represented<\/a> the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, a left-wing\u2064 group accused of\u2064 misappropriating millions of dollars in donations.\u2063 Elias also <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/dem-superlawyer-marc-elias-adds-corrupt-florida-pol-to-loser-client-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">represented<\/a> former Florida \u2063gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum (D.) in a\u2063 21-count federal fraud case.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear what services Elias Law \u200cGroup provided Mind the Gap, which Fried launched in 2018 to support Democratic campaigns.
