Speaking at a fundraising event on Broadway, \u200bthe president <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-12533655\/Biden-blasts-Trump-MAGA-Republicans-Broadway-fundraiser-claiming-determined-destroy-American-democracy-bow-Vladimir-Putin.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told<\/a> \u201cFOLKS!\u201d in attendance that he\u2019s running for reelection because \u201cdemocracy is at\u2062 stake\u201d and \u201con the ballot once again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s\u200b gotten <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/09\/22\/republicans-using-the-democratic-process-to-win-local-elections-threatens-democracy-says-nyt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">so corny<\/a>, and\u2064 yet if there weren\u2019t pollsters, consultants, \u2063and all of the media telling every Democrat in the country that it\u2019s a line\u2064 that works for their voters, he wouldn\u2019t be saying it.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, it\u2019s Democrats who come up with a new way to \u200bshut down the few remaining options and avenues the American public \u2062has to \u2064express their opinions and choices on virtually everything. They do it on the daily. Just last\u2064 week, Special Counsel\u2062 Jack Smith requested that a federal judge in\u200b Washington, D.C., place a gag order that \u200bwould prevent Trump from disparaging Smith\u2019s Jan. 6-related case against him, even in political terms.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201c[T]he defendant has\u2062 repeatedly and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/joe-biden-claims-democracy-is-at-stake-as-his-party-does-everything-to-prevent-democracy-from-happening\/\" title=\"Biden warns of democracy's jeopardy as his party obstructs its progress.\">widely disseminated public statements attacking<\/a> \u2064the citizens of the\u2064 District of\u2063 Columbia, the Court, prosecutors, and prospective witnesses,\u201d Smith wrote in <a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.dcd.258149\/gov.uscourts.dcd.258149.57.0_8.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the filing<\/a>. \u201cThrough his statements, the \u200ddefendant threatens\u2062 to undermine \u2062the integrity\u200d of \u200cthese proceedings and prejudice the jury pool\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He asserted\u200b that Trump has a \u201chistory of inflammatory and misleading statements\u201d that \u201cwould\u200b cause others to harass and harm perceived critics or \u2064adversaries.\u201d One \u2063of those supposedly dangerous statements\u2063 was a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-this-average-american-is-voting-for-donald-trump\/\" title=\"Why This Average American Is Voting for Donald Trump\">social media post<\/a> \u200bwherein Trump said, \u201cJoe Biden directed his Attorney General to prosecute his rival. This is not an independent\u200c Justice \u200dDepartment, this is not an independent special \u200dcounsel. This is being directed \u2063by the Commander-in-Chief.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Smith said \u2062that remark was\u200b made\u200d \u201cwithout any basis,\u201d even \u2062as none other\u200b than \u200dthe New York\u200b Times wrote <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/04\/02\/us\/politics\/merrick-garland-biden-trump.html#:~:text=6%20Investigation%20Widens,restore%20the%20Justice%20Department's%20independence.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in April<\/a> last year \u200cfor its millions of readers\u200c \u2014\u00a0does\u2063 Jack Smith have a subscription? \u2014\u00a0that Biden has told \u2062his associates he wants indictments\u200d against his predecessor and that he wanted his attorney general \u201cto act less like a ponderous judge and more like a \u200dprosecutor who is willing to\u200b take decisive action over the events \u200bof Jan. 6.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It wouldn\u2019t be \u200buntil\u200b seven months later that Trump would launch his own reelection campaign, but everyone knew \u200dhe was going to\u200b do it, and everyone knew that when he did, he \u200bwould instantly become \u200dthe\u200d frontrunner for the Republican nomination.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the context dismissed by Jack Smith as \u201cwithout any basis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u200dmotion\u200d comes just a month after the judge in the case, Tanya Chutkan, has\u200c already \u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/25\/judge-presiding-over-trumps-jan-6-trial-has-track-record-of-politically-charged-j6-rulings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sided\u2062 with Smith<\/a> \u2063 on a similar motion regarding \u201cinflammatory statements.\u201d She said there were limits to what Trump could say \u200b\u201cwhether it will affect a political campaign on either side.\u201d In essence:\u2062 Even \u200dif Trump\u2019s campaign \u2063is \u200bpartly or wholly about the case against \u2063him, he can\u2019t talk \u200cabout\u200c it.<\/p>\n<p>When \u2062Democrats aren\u2019t limiting what Trump can talk about in a national election, they\u2019re trying to get his name <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/25\/why-twisting-the-14th-amendment-clause-to-get-trump-wont-hold-up-in-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">removed from state ballots<\/a>. When they\u2019re not\u200d doing that, they\u2019re suppressing \u2063what \u2063their dissenters <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/09\/07\/before-elon-sues-for-defamation-the-adl-and-media-should-be-prosecuted-for-conspiracy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">can say on the Internet<\/a>.\u200b When they\u2019re not \u200bdoing\u2064 that, they\u2019re trying \u200bto <em>shrink<\/em> \u2064 the Internet by icing out would-be customers <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2016\/11\/29\/server-company-pulls-plug-conservative-website-name-diversity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">from\u200c renting space<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If\u200d you don\u2019t\u200b agree with Democrats on anything, what are you supposed\u200d to do? Where\u200c are you supposed to go?<\/p>\n<p>Democracy really \u200cis at stake. Biden\u2062 and his party \u2062are \u200bworking to eliminate it as an option altogether.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p> <\/p>\n<h2> \u200cWhat is the\u200d role \u200cof the Special Counsel\u200c appointed\u200d by the Justice Department to investigate the \u2062events of January 6th?<\/h2>\n<p><span>  T the Justice \u2062Department announced the appointment\u200d of\u200c Jack Smith as the Special Counsel \u2063to investigate the events of January 6th. But according to Smith, Trump&#8217;s statement had no basis.<\/p>\n<p>This is\u2064 just one example\u200c of Democrats using \u2063their power to restrict\u2064 the First Amendment rights\u2063 of\u200d their political opponents.\u200b They claim to be defenders of democracy,\u2063 but their actions\u2063 tell a different story.<\/p>\n<p>In \u200ctheir pursuit of \u200cTrump, Democrats have weaponized \u200dthe legal system and \u200bused it to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/facebooks-oversight-board-will-remove-posts-flagged-by-users\/\" title=\"Facebook\u2019s Oversight Board Will Remove Posts Flagged By Users\">silence dissenting voices<\/a>. They have abused their authority to target \u2062their political\u200d adversaries and prevent\u2062 them from speaking out. It is a \u2062blatant disregard for the principles\u200b of free speech\u200c and\u200b open dialogue that are the foundation of \u2064our democracy.<\/p>\n<p>But \u200dit doesn&#8217;t stop there. Democrats have also used their\u200b control\u200c of the media \u200bto shape\u200c the narrative and control the information that the public receives. They have been quick\u2062 to label \u200bany criticism \u2062or questioning of\u200d their actions as threats to \u200ddemocracy, while simultaneously pushing false narratives and \u2064hiding the truth.<\/p>\n<p>This \u200bmanipulation of information \u200dis a dangerous\u200c threat to our democracy. When the public is only exposed to one side of the \u2062story, they are denied the opportunity to \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/oregon-governor-encourages-people-to-call-police-on-neighbors-violating-covid-orders\/\" title=\"Oregon Governor Encourages People To Call Police On Neighbors Violating COVID Orders\">make informed decisions<\/a>. Democracy relies on an informed electorate, and\u2063 when information\u200d is controlled and manipulated, that \u200dfoundation is eroded.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s clear that\u200d democracy is \u2064at stake, but not in the way that Democrats would have us\u2064 believe. The real threat to our\u200b democracy comes from those who \u200cseek to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rep-gohmert-twitter-part-of-high-tech-oligarchy\/\" title=\"Rep. Gohmert: Twitter \u2018part of high-tech oligarchy\u2019\">silence opposing viewpoints<\/a> and manipulate the narrative. It comes from those who\u200b use their power to target and discredit \u2063their \u2062political\u2062 opponents.<\/p>\n<p>As citizens, we \u2064must remain vigilant\u2063 and\u2063 actively defend our democratic rights. We must \u2063reject \u200cattempts to\u2063 restrict\u2063 free speech and manipulate information. We must demand transparency\u2064 and accountability \u2064from our elected officials.<\/p>\n<p>Democracy only thrives when all voices \u2062are \u2062heard \u2062and all \u2063opinions\u200d are respected.
