so far only\u200b paid the\u2064 firm $214,000, with \u2064his most recent payment amounting to $10,000 on Sept.\u2064 14, according to the lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, plaintiffs are seeking the remaining $1,360,196.10 in outstanding bills.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit states that Mr. Giuliani received \u2064all the invoices for the \u200clegal defense and &#8220;never\u200c raised\u2064 any objection regarding the correctness \u200cof \u200cthe invoices, the amount billed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Giuliani has breached his retainer agreement by failing to pay invoices in full despite \u2062the payments being &#8220;duly demanded&#8221;, the lawsuit states.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<h2>Fulton County\u2062 Indictment<\/h2>\n<p>Mr. Giuliani,\u200d who served as\u200c President\u2062 Donald Trump&#8217;s attorney, is facing mounting legal challenges and\u200b is among \u2064the 19 individuals, including the former\u2064 president, to be indicted by a \u200dgrand \u200bjury in Fulton\u2064 County over\u2063 their\u200b efforts to challenge the 2020 election results in Georgia.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The indictment charges them with violating Georgia&#8217;s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act and alleges they &#8220;unlawfully conspired and endeavored to conduct and participate \u200bin criminal enterprise in Fulton County, Georgia, and elsewhere.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mr.\u200b Giuliani \u2064specifically was \u200dcharged with a\u2063 violation of\u2062 the RICO \u2062act, soliciting the violation of oath by a public official, conspiracies to commit false statements and writings, conspiracies to commit forgery in \u2062the first degree, conspiracies to commit impersonating a public officer, and conspiracies to <a organization\u200d whose members and associates engaged in various \u2064<a The judge in \u200cthat\u2063 case, Judge Beryl Howel, also ordered Mr. Giuliani to pay\u200d more than $130,000 in attorney fees\u200d for\u2062 the two \u200belection workers involved in that case.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to CBS News, \u200bMr. Giuliani said he couldn\u2019t \u2064express &#8220;how personally hurt&#8221; he was by his former lawyer&#8217;s\u200d decision to file a lawsuit against \u200bhim.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s a real shame when lawyers do things \u2062like this, and all I will say is that their bill \u2064is way in excess to anything approaching legitimate fees,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Costello, in responding to Mr. Giuliani&#8217;s\u2063 comments, told the publication: &#8220;How \u2062can he take a personal affront \u2064when\u200c he owes my firm $1.4 million?\u2063 For \u2062almost four years he \u200creceived bills and never complained (and never paid).&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He only said they were excessive when we \u2063told him we would sue.
