The \u2063Epoch Times reached out to Maricopa County for comment but received no response as of press time.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Maricopa\u2062 County lawyers dismissed \u2062Lake&#8217;s claims of intentional malfeasance by\u200c county \u200cofficials\u200c in relation to Election\u2063 Day\u2064 printer problems.\u200c Jarrett attributed printing issues to insufficiently\u2062 dark toner,\u2063 which led \u200bto some\u2064 voters placing \u2063their unreadable ballots in\u200c a secure box for later counting.<\/p>\n<p>Since the\u200b November midterms, \u200cLake and her team have \u200cfiled multiple lawsuits and appeals in an effort to challenge the election results. However, all of\u200b their attempts have been rejected by multiple judges.<\/p>\n<p>Despite her opponent, Katie Hobbs, being sworn in as governor earlier this year, Lake has not conceded the race. In July, she\u200d appealed to the Arizona Supreme Court, alleging that around 8,000 unreadable \u200cballots were misconfigured on Election Day. Her \u2062initial lawsuit, \u2064filed last year, claimed that thousands of voters in Maricopa\u2063 County were disenfranchised.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, Lake filed a motion to dismiss a defamation lawsuit \u2063brought against her \u200cby \u2064Maricopa County Recorder \u200dStephen Richer.
