Clinkunbroomer was found unconscious at \u200croughly 6 \u2062p.m. \u2063by someone\u200d passing by and was rushed to the hospital, where \u200dhe succumbed to his\u200c injuries. The Sheriff\u2019s Department initially <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LASDHQ\/status\/1703236769817522414\">reported<\/a> that Clinkunbroomer had been \u201cfound\u200c in\u200d medical distress in front of\u201d the Palmdale station.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Targeted Act \u200bor Random Crime?<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI think it was a\u2063 targeted act based on what we know \u200cnow, but we\u2019re still in the extremely early stages of\u200b this investigation,\u201d Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2062 Robert Luna\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/09\/17\/us\/los-angeles-sheriffs-deputy-shot-palmdale\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> in\u200d a press conference late Saturday night. \u201cIt could have been just the\u2062 fact\u200b that he \u2063was representing the Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s Department as one of our employees. We don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A suspect has not been identified.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to the Times, which reviewed unreleased\u200d surveillance footage of the attack, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/targeted-act-l-a-county-sheriffs-deputy-shot-and-killed-in-ambush-attack-officials-say\/\" title=\"L.A.
