Colorado as a state boasts more than 25% \u200dof its employees\u2063 working remotely. The Washington, D.C. metro area also ranks high, with \u200ca quarter of its\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-to-resume-in-person-work-for-all-staff-in-july\/\" title=\"White House to Resume In-Person Work for All Staff in July\">employees working remotely<\/a>, tying with the Seattle metro area.<\/p>\n<h3>Changing Remote Work Landscape<\/h3>\n<p>Some \u2063states have \u200cseen\u200b significant shifts in \u2063remote work \u200cpercentages.\u2064 Maryland, Connecticut, \u200dMassachusetts, and\u200d Illinois reported lower remote workers than the national average in 2019, but by 2022, they reported \u200bhigher percentages than the national average of 15%. On the other hand, Idaho, Montana, South\u200d Dakota, and Iowa had more remote workers than the average in \u20632019 but dropped below the average last year.<\/p>\n<p>Mississippi had the fewest remote workers at 5.5%, and its neighboring states\u200c in the southeast also\u200d reported fewer workers than the average.<\/p>\n<h2>Impact of Remote Work<\/h2>\n<p>Remote work has had a\u200b significant impact on commute time.
