She\u2019s not.<\/p>\n<p>Somehow, Democrats are able to \u2064maintain \u2062lockstep on illegal immigration when they know people are getting hurt, even killed.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0minimum of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/southern-border-breaks-tragic-record-biden-admin-continue-denying-crisis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">853<\/a> \u2062 illegal migrants died trying to cross the southern border\u2063 in 2022. \u2063That makes it the deadliest year ever. I don\u2019t hear any D.C. Democrats\u200b lamenting that fact.<\/p>\n<p>Why? Because\u2064 they don\u2019t care. If they cared at all, they\u2019d try to\u200d do something about it. It raises the \u2063question: \u200cWhere\u2062 is the outrage?<\/p>\n<p>For Democrats, the issue of\u2062 putting people in cages\u200c at the border seems to \u200dbe\u2064 old news.\u2062 It is no \u200blonger worth noticing. But why is this the case? Retired ICE official John Fabbricatore&#8217;s recent photos on\u2062 X showing\u2064 illegal immigrants\u2064 detained in \u200dArizona should\u2064 have sparked outrage and \u200cconcern from lawmakers. However, there seems to \u200dbe a lack of attention and \u2063response from those who\u2064 were previously vocal \u2063about \u2063the issue.<\/p>\n<p>One example is Rep. Alexandria\u200d Ocasio-Cortez, \u2062also known \u200cas AOC. When she visited the Texas \u200bborder \u2063as a congressional candidate back in 2018, she was deeply disturbed by what she saw and expressed her\u2063 distress\u200b through\u2064 a photo shoot. Her outrage was palpable. But where is she now? Why isn&#8217;t she \u2063speaking\u200d out\u200b against the Biden administration&#8217;s handling of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gov-abbott-texas-border-counties-have-to-pick-up-slack-at-the-border\/\" title=\"Gov. Abbott: Texas border counties have to pick up slack at the border\">detained migrants<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>AOC had even gone\u2063 as\u200c far as accusing former President Donald Trump of\u2063 running &#8220;concentration\u2064 camps&#8221; at the\u200b border. She\u2062 was not\u200d alone in her\u2063 condemnation. Democratic lawmakers like\u2063 Sen. \u2064\u2064\u2062 Chris Van Hollen of Maryland and \u2064Rep. \u200b\u200d Peter Welch of\u200b Vermont\u200c also visited\u2063 the border in 2018 and\u2063 shared heartbreaking stories about &#8220;kids in cages.&#8221; But now that\u200c the\u2064 cages are still in place under the Biden administration, \u2064where \u200dis their outrage?<\/p>\n<p>The answer seems to lie in political expediency. The shock and anger expressed by these lawmakers were performative acts, meant to \u200bgain political\u200c points. They do not genuinely care\u2064 about the issue of illegal immigrants in cages. \u200bIt is merely a \u200bconvenient talking \u2064point for them, especially \u2062when it can be used against a Republican administration. Now that their political ally is in \u2063power, they conveniently choose to remain silent.<\/p>\n<p>This blatant hypocrisy\u2062 has not gone unnoticed by social\u200d \u200dmedia users,\u2064 who have quickly pointed \u200cout the inconsistencies.
