This ruling \u200dcame after \u2063attorneys general in Missouri and Louisiana \u2062filed a lawsuit accusing the administration of threatening antitrust\u200b lawsuits \u2064against \u200bFacebook, Twitter, and\u200b others.<\/p>\n<p>According to Redfield, there \u200cwere individuals within \u200dthe federal government who were \u2062concerned about Americans&#8217;\u2064 reluctance to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;I always said&#8230; \u2063my\u2063 position was just tell the American public the truth: There \u200dare side effects to vaccines. The Department of\u200c Justice (DOJ) filed a motion with the 5th U.S. Circuit \u200bCourt\u2064 of Appeals \u200bto seek clarity on the ruling, which was deemed broader than necessary.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The appeals court \u200creduced the \u2063restrictions to \u200dapply only to the CDC,\u200b FBI, \u2064Surgeon General&#8217;s office, and the White House.
