Now, her fianc\u00e9 has been charged with her \u200dmurder.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The remains of Rachel Elizabeth\u200c Imani Buckner, 27, were\u200d identified on August \u200b30, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/F5dbHBKaAAA0J1m?format=jpg&#038;name=medium\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-defector-emails-pipeline-to-obama-admin-seen-as-currency\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Defector Emails: 'Pipeline' to Obama Admin Seen as 'Currency'\">press release<\/a><\/a> from the\u2063 Alameda\u200c Police Department. When her body was first\u200c discovered, a preliminary autopsy determined she had been murdered, but her \u200bremains went unidentified for months due to limited identifying factors.<\/p>\n<p>DNA finally provided the answer,\u200c and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-dismembered-body-of-a-california-law-student-washed-ashore-her-fiance-has-been-charged-in-her-murder\/\" title=\"California law student's dismembered body found; fianc\u00e9 charged with murder.\">additional evidence led police<\/a>\u200d to arrest her 42-year-old fianc\u00e9, Joseph\u200b Roberts, KRON <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kron4.com\/news\/bay-area\/human-remains-found-on-alameda-shoreline-idd-murder-suspect-arrested\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Buckner\u2019s remains \u2063were found by \u2063a \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/joe-biden-masks-up-on-beach-trip-with-his-dog\/\" title=\"Joe Biden Masks up on Beach Trip with His Dog\">resident walking<\/a> along the beach on July 20, and investigators quickly discovered she had \u200bbeen\u200b dismembered and dumped\u2064 on Bay Farm Island.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis one is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/lose-4-pounds-of-belly-fat-with-no-changes-in-diet\/\" title=\"Lose 4 Pounds of Belly Fat \u2013 With No Changes in Diet\">pretty brutal<\/a>.\u200b I have never \u2063had a dismemberment case,\u201d Alameda\u2064 Police Sgt. Spencer\u200d Mountain said, according to KRON.<\/p>\n<p>Alameda Police Chief Nishant Joshi\u2062 added that in his \u201c25 \u2064years as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/california-sheriffs-tell-newsom-they-wont-enforce-covid-curfew\/\" title=\"California Sheriffs Tell Newsom They Won't Enforce COVID Curfew\">police\u00a0officer<\/a>, I\u2064 have never \u200dseen anything as \u200cdisturbing as this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Joshi also said that Buckner\u2019s family \u2062had\u2064 been notified of her death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was with my investigators when we made \u200dnotification to the family,\u201d he \u2062said, according to the outlet. \u201cAs you can imagine they were devastated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Buckner\u2019s head, feet, and hands were all removed from \u2063her body \u2013 and still have not been found, \u200bKTVU \u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ktvu.com\/news\/victims-fiance-charged-with-murder-after-dismembered-body-found-near-alameda-shoreline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Roberts\u2019 DNA was found on \u200dthe duct\u200d tape wrapped around her body, leading to his arrest.<\/p>\n<p>Sgt. Mountain \u200csaid, \u201cThe two of them had been dating\u201d and\u200b \u201cmight have even been \u2062engaged.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Roberts identified himself as Buckner\u2019s fianc\u00e9 on\u200c charging documents <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/09\/12\/bay-area-law-student-found-dismembered-on-shoreline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reviewed<\/a> \u200c by\u200c the New York Post.<\/p>\n<p>Mountain told KRON that neither Roberts nor Buckner had ties \u2064to Alameda,\u200d as they were both from Pleasanton, California.<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cNeither one seems \u200cto be connected to \u200banything here,\u201d he told\u200d the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>Cell phone records showed Roberts last \u200bcommunicated\u2064 with Buckner on July 13, just one week\u200d before her remains were found. Roberts also \u2063had Buckner\u2019s phone\u2064 in his car, which he used even\u200c after her death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoseph [Roberts] never reported the victim \u200cmissing at any point during this investigation. \u200bJoseph\u2019s DNA was on\u200d the\u2064 tape that wrapped her body, which meant\u2063 he was aware she was dead, he was aware she was\u2064 dismembered,\u200b and he took an active \u2062role in wrapping her body,\u2063 concealing it in plastic \u2062garbage bags,\u201d Detective Robert Hansen said in a statement,\u200d according to the Post.<\/p>\n<p>Buckner\u2019s family provided <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ktvu.com\/news\/family-grieves-young-woman-with-bright-future-allegedly-killed-by-fiance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a written statement<\/a> to KTVU, saying, \u201cHer death has left a void that is indescribable in her community and \u2062village.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The family described \u200bBuckner, who was just months away\u200d from\u200b completing her degree at Golden Gate University School\u200b of Law, as \u201cbeautiful, brilliant, \u2064kind\u201d with \u201can incredibly bright \u200bfuture.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In July, the dismembered body of a young woman was found near Bay Farm Island Bridge in Alameda, California.
