He \u2064has pledged to donate all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/comic-writer-alan-moore-said-hes-donating-his-dc-movie-royalties-to-black-lives-matter\/\" title=\"Alan Moore, comic writer, donates DC movie royalties to Black Lives Matter.\">future \u200dmovie royalties<\/a>\u200d he \u200dreceives to\u200d <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/black-lives-matter\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Black Lives Matter<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Best known for his iconic works such as \u201cWatchmen,\u201d \u201cV for Vendetta,\u201d and \u201cThe Ballad of Halo Jones,\u201d Moore rarely \u2063makes public appearances.\u2062 However, he recently shared some of his thoughts in an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/books\/what-to-read\/alan-moore-comic-books-black-lives-matter-watchmen\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">interview<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  with The Telegraph.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the past, Moore has been hesitant to \u2062associate his name with\u2062 big-screen adaptations of his work. He used to share\u2062 his movie royalties \u200bwith the film\u2019s \u200dwriters and creative team, but he has now decided to change that.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI no longer wish to share it\u2063 with them. I don\u2019t believe they have upheld \u200cthe original principles I assumed they had,\u201d Moore explained. \u201cSo I\u2062 have requested that DC Comics send all future TV series or film earnings to Black Lives Matter.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The\u200d acclaimed creator of \u201cV\u200b for Vendetta\u201d \u2063also revealed that he has become\u2062 somewhat of a recluse due to his overwhelming popularity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cPeople would look at me as if they were having a religious experience rather than a normal conversation. So I have retreated into what I initially thought a writer\u2019s life would be like, where I sit at home \u2062and write books,\u201d Moore shared.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Moore has been openly critical of the modern comic industry, particularly the concept of adult-oriented\u2063 comics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cNow \u2062they are called \u2018graphic novels,\u2019 which sounds sophisticated and allows for higher prices. What attracted me to comics is no longer \u200dpresent. The innocent and imaginative superhero characters from the past are being recycled as if they were meant for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/washington-middle-schoolers-awarded-2000-from-district-for-student-drag-show\/\" title=\"Washington Middle Schoolers Awarded ,000 From District for Student Drag Show\">adult audiences<\/a>,\u201d Moore expressed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Continuing his critique, Moore stated, \u201cI did not intend for my experiments with comics \u2064to become the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rust-script-supervisor-sues-baldwin-i-feel-like-at-any-moment-anything-could-happen-to-me-and-to-those-that-i-care-about\/\" title=\"\u2018Rust\u2019 Script Supervisor Sues Baldwin: \u2018I Feel Like At Any Moment Anything Could Happen To Me And To Those That I Care About\u2019\">industry norm<\/a>. Martin world of warriors, dragons, and, for some reason, dwarves. The \u2064fantasy books that inspire me, like Mervyn Peake\u2019s Gormenghast trilogy, actually explore the real world and \u2062the changing \u200cnature of British society,\u201d Moore shared.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cFantasy has\u200d no boundaries, so it\u2019s disappointing to constantly hear the same tune on \u200cthe piano.
