Version: 4.0.47--><h2>Attorneys Release Whistleblower&#8217;s Notes in\u2064 Hunter Biden\u2062 Investigation<\/h2>\n<p>Attorneys \u200cworking with\u200b one of \u200bthe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/internal-revenue-service-irs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Internal Revenue Service (IRS)<\/a> \u200c agent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/whistleblower\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">whistleblowers<\/a> in the criminal\u200c investigation\u200d of \u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/hunter-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hunter Biden<\/a> released their \u2064client\u2019s notes in response to an\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/fbi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FBI<\/a> agent\u2019s testimony casting doubt on a key\u200c claim.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>IRS \u200csupervisory \u200dspecial agent Gary Shapley wrote down that Delaware\u2019s U.S. \u2063Attorney David Weiss stated in \u2063an October 2022 meeting \u200cthat he was \u201cnot \u200bthe deciding person\u201d when it came to bringing charges in the case, as shown in\u200b a document \u2064obtained and \u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/671103439\/Shapley-notes#fullscreen=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">published<\/a> by \u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/hunter-biden-see-irs-whistleblower-gary-shapleys-handwritten-notes-meeting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS \u200dNews<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Shapley\u2019s attorneys <a href=\"https:\/\/empowr.us\/shapley-attorneys-provide-hand-written-notes-to-house-committees-regarding-weiss-meeting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a> to the\u200c leaders of the House Judiciary \u2063Committee on \u2064Wednesday declaring that they were \u200dsharing \u2064an unredacted copy of the notes in response to \u200ba <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2023\/09\/12\/hunter-biden-fbi-transcript-weiss-sobocinski\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Washington Post report<\/a> that revealed Thomas Sobocinski, a senior FBI agent also\u200c involved in the Biden\u200c inquiry, told the congressional panel that he left \u200cthe \u200dsame October \u200d2022 meeting believing \u2063that\u200b Weiss did have the authority to bring charges.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAccording to the Washington \u2063Post story, Mr. Sobocinski\u200b reportedly \u2062failed to recall in his interview with Committee staff\u200d certain details of the meeting recorded in SSA Shapley\u2019s email,\u201d attorneys Tristan Leavitt and Mark \u200bLytle said in\u2062 their letter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, Mr. Sobocinski apparently acknowledged that \u2064he took no notes in the meeting, nor did he document \u200cit \u200cin any contemporaneous fashion afterwards,\u201d they added. \u201cBy \u2063contrast, SSA Shapley \u2063took notes during the \u2063meeting. These notes, combined with his fresh memory\u2064 of the meeting, formed the basis for the \u2063email he \u2063sent later that day \u200cand\u200b corroborate his\u2063 current recollection.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Shapley\u2019s email correspondence was previously\u2062 given to the \u2063House Ways and Means\u2064 Committee and \u2063then <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JsnFostr\/status\/1672223928561926144\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">disclosed<\/a> to \u2064the public. Similar\u2062 to his handwritten notes, Shapley\u2019s email expressed that \u2063Weiss had told investigators at the October 2022 meeting he\u200d was\u200d not the \u201cdeciding\u2063 person\u201d \u200cwhen \u2062it came to charges.
