Senator\">attorney general announced<\/a> a new \u2062 <strong>anti-human trafficking initiative<\/strong> at a Sept. 12 press conference at the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce. The\u200b <strong>100% Business Alliance\u2062 Against Trafficking<\/strong> will help Virginia businesses educate their employees on how to \u2062recognize possible trafficking incidents within their business communities and allow more people to become the communities\u2019 \u2062&#8221;eyes and ears.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>\u201cThe reality is \u2062we need help. (Masooma \u2064Haq\/The Epoch Times)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Globally, \u2063human trafficking is a $150 billion business, which flourishes in every corner \u200bof Virginia, Mr. Miyares said, and while narcotic trafficking is the most common and lucrative criminal enterprise, human\u200d trafficking is second.<\/p>\n<p>Fairfax County Sheriff \u200dStacey Ann Kincaid told reporters that human\u200c trafficking is prevalent in Virginia and not something that happens \u2064in far-off lands, that it is \u200bhappening all around \u200band in plain view.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>\u201cUnfortunately, \u200cthey don&#8217;t see it as something that will \u2063touch their neighborhoods or social circles. However, the reality \u2062is that\u2062 human trafficking has the potential to touch every community,\u201d\u200c said Ms. Kincaid. She said the impacts of human labor and \u2064sex\u200d trafficking are horrific. The victims are \u200csometimes murdered or have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/virginia-businesses-partner-with-state-ags-office-in-program-to-stop-human-trafficking\/\" title=\"Virginia businesses join forces with state AG's office to combat human trafficking.\">lifelong mental health issues<\/a>, feeling powerless and severely\u2063 traumatized.<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The attorney general said human \u2062trafficking \u200cis happening in Virginia.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>\u201cThat is why in the fight against trafficking, it is vitally important for\u200b businesses and their employers to \u200dbe part\u2064 of that partnership, in identification, in prevention, and reporting of \u200dtrafficking, and the protection of trafficking\u200d victims and survivors.\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The anti-trafficking training comes in the form of \u200bvideo modules and is free for all businesses to use. Making the\u2062 human trafficking training modules a part of their regular training schedule will allow the thousands of Virginia businesses to equip their employees with the \u200deducation, tools, and training to \u2064become partners with the \u2064law enforcement community in \u200cthe effort to\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/governors-unveil-plan-to-end-bidens-border-crisis-were-not-going-to-sit-around-while-biden-refuses-to-act\/\" title=\"Governors Unveil Plan To End Biden\u2019s Border Crisis: \u2018We\u2019re Not Going To Sit Around While Biden Refuses To Act\u2019\">eradicate human trafficking<\/a>, said Mr. Miyares.<\/p>\n<p>The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Virginia Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce have committed to training all their employees and encouraging their members to take the anti-human trafficking training as well.<\/p>\n<p>The two chambers have a total of more than 900 members combined, representing close to 700,000 employees.<\/p>\n<p>The \u200bOffice\u200c of the Attorney General\u2019s plan is to \u200cmake these \u2062training modules available to any Virginia business that requests them. He said they will also create a campaign \u200cthat shows the social benefits for their community, not only in the\u200c United States but \u2064also their families in\u200b their respective countries.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Mr. Miyares said the goal is to have \u2062more people know\u2063 what human trafficking looks like and then report it, so law enforcement can investigate the tips made to the trafficking hotline.<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Gov.
