The deadline for authorizing the withholding of the aid is September\u2063 30.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. officials said that\u2063 the shifting of\u2064 money comes in \u2062response\u200c to Egypt failing to &#8220;make \u200bprogress on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/us-womens-soccer-team-kneels-for-anthem-wears-black-lives-matter\/\" title=\"US Women's Soccer Team Kneels for Anthem, Wears 'Black Lives Matter'\">human rights<\/a> and other issues,&#8221; the report said.<\/p>\n<p>The conditional\u200c aid is only a fraction \u2062of the $1.3 billion that\u200d the U.S. \u2063gives\u2062 Egypt per year, \u200dthe report noted, which comes as the two countries have\u2062 growing disagreements on a variety of \u2062matters.<\/p>\n<p>The report said that the administration\u2062 is planning to redirect at least $55 \u200bmillion to Taiwan and $30 million\u200d to Lebanon.<\/p>\n<p>Taiwan is facing rising threats of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/tensions-flare-between-china-india-after-clashes-at-himalayan-border\/\" title=\"Tensions flare between China, India after clashes at Himalayan border\">military confrontation<\/a> with communist \u2063China and Lebanon has been in a state of upheaval ever since\u2062 a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/massive-explosion-reported-in-beirut-lebanon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">massive\u200b explosion<\/a> in Beirut in 2020.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\">CLICK\u200b HERE TO GET THE DAILY WIRE APP<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The\u200d news comes as Taiwan is\u200b set to purchase 400 Harpoon \u2063anti-ship missiles \u200bfrom the U.S. \u2014 a formidable weapon that could make \u2064an attempted invasion by China nearly\u2062 impossible.<\/p>\n<p>Rupert Hammond-Chambers, president of the US-Taiwan Business Council, told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2023-04-17\/taiwan-to-buy-400-us-anti-ship-missiles-intended-to-repel-a-china-invasion?leadSource=uverify%20wall\">Bloomberg<\/a> that \u2062the contract with Boeing on Taiwan&#8217;s\u2064 behalf by the \u2064US \u200bNaval Air Systems \u2063Command \u200bmarks the first time the\u2064 island will have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-shifts-some-military-foreign-aid-from-middle-east-country-to-taiwan\/\" title=\"Biden reallocates military aid from Middle East to Taiwan.\">purchased land-launched versions<\/a> of \u2062the missile.<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI), chairman\u200c of the \u2064House Select Committee\u2064 on China, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/top-house-republican-warns-u-s-needs-to-arm-taiwan-fast-beef-up-u-s-military-presence-to-avoid-war\">said<\/a> earlier this year that the U.S. \u2062needed to provide Taiwan with weapons and the\u2063 U.S. needed to &#8220;be moving heaven and earth to surge power\u2064 out to the Indo-Pacific\u200c before it&#8217;s too late, before we have another war on our hands.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Gallagher\u2063 said\u2063 that\u2063 the\u200b &#8220;most important&#8221;\u200d weapon \u200bthat\u200b the U.S. needed to \u200bsend to Taiwan are &#8220;Harpoon anti-ship missiles.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I remain convinced that there&#8217;s more we can do to move Taiwan \u2063to the front of\u2063 the line, ahead of\u2062 Saudi Arabia, for example, when it \u200ccomes to Harpoon \u2063deliveries, as well as take the\u2063 Harpoon missiles that we&#8217;re putting into deep storage, that we&#8217;re de-milling, and\u2063 change around a \u2063few aspects of them so that we can deliver them to Taiwan,&#8221; he\u200d said. &#8220;We could also explore licensing\u2064 certain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/top-u-s-commander-we-must-assume-very-real-possibility-that-we-may-need-to-use-nukes-against-china-russia\/\" title=\"Top U.S. Commander: We Must Assume \u2018Very Real Possibility\u2019 That We May Need To Use Nukes Against China, Russia\">weapons systems<\/a> so the Taiwanese could produce them domestically.
