Although all 100 \u2062senators were \u200binvited, not all came.  <\/p>\n<p>After the almost three hour meeting, Musk spoke \u2063to reporters about the summit and\u2062 called it \u201chistoric.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>He also reportedly supported the idea of\u2064 a creation of a new federal\u2062 agency to monitor AI \u200dand reiterated his warning that AI poses a significant risk.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThe consequences of AI going\u200b wrong are\u2063 severe so we have to be proactive rather than reactive,\u201d Musk\u200b said. \u2064\u201cThe question is really \u2064one of \u200bcivilizational risk. It\u2019s not like \u2026 one group of\u2062 humans versus another. It\u2019s like, hey, this is something that\u2019s\u200b potentially risky \u200bfor all humans everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>When he was asked if AI will destroy mankind,\u2064 the\u200c SpaceX CEO paused\u200c and replied, \u201cThere \u2062is some \u200cchance that is above zero that AI will kill us all. I \u2064think it\u2019s low.
