Michelle Lujan Grisham&#8217;s ban on carrying guns has been shot down by a federal \u200cjudge.\u200b The \u200cjudge issued a temporary restraining order\u200c to\u2064 prevent the ban from taking effect, citing a violation of the 2022 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in the \u200ccase of New York State Rifle &#038; Pistol Association, \u2063Inc. v. Bruen.<\/p>\n<p>According \u200dto Reuters, U.S. District Court Judge David Urias stated that the order banning concealed and open carry rights in and around \u200bAlbuquerque went against the Supreme \u200cCourt&#8217;s decision. This ruling comes after\u200b Lujan Grisham declared\u2062 a &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/martinez-we-have-2-4-hour-lines-due-to-new-mexico-lockdown\/\" title=\"Martinez: 'We Have 2-4 Hour Lines' Due to New Mexico Lockdown\">public health emergency<\/a>&#8221; and suspended \u200bthe right to \u200ccarry for 30 days in response to recent gun violence.<\/p>\n<p>However, local officials and citizens\u2063 were quick to contest \u2063the order, filing lawsuits and refusing to enforce it.
