All I had to do was confirm \u2062a lie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Mr. Tarrio, the DOJ \u200dallegedly approached him with the cooperation \u2062deal\u2064 around October last year, before Jack \u200dSmith was appointed as a Special Counsel to investigate President Trump.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverything\u2064 they wanted\u2064 me to say\u200d is fabricated,\u201d he said. \u201cThis is how they are going to try to present evidence for Trump\u2019s trial\u2062 \u2026 Find a bunch \u2062of people that do\u2064 not want to \u2062go to \u200djail to make up a story just to avoid jail time.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode post-related-videos\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-placeholder\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI want to\u2064 be unequivocally clear\u2014I have no connection to President Trump or anyone in his family whatsoever. The connection simply just does not exist and never did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about President Trump\u2019s Jan. 6 indictment, Mr. Tarrio pointed out that authorities have not connected the former president with the \u2062Jan. 6 protestors. Instead, they are claiming\u2063 that President \u2064Trump\u2062 \u201cobstructed an\u2062 official proceeding by doing certain \u200dthings,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo they \u2062haven\u2019t connected \u200dTrump \u200cto \u200cthe protest\u2014to what happened at the Capitol that day. How nice,\u200d how beautiful would it\u200b be, to also have \u2063him connected to a person that they supposedly say coordinated the whole thing, right?,\u201d Mr. Tarrio said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt would be fantastic for their case. It would be an emotional pull. It technically can get him for \u2063seditious conspiracy at that point\u2064 \u2026 if they have a connection, they can get him \u2063for \u2062seditious conspiracy\u2014which might take him off the ballot in all 50 states.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>President Trump is facing four indictments\u2063 at present. One related to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/supreme-court-rejects-trump-bid-to-shield-financial-records\/\" title=\"Supreme Court Rejects Trump Bid To Shield Financial Records\">alleged hush money payments made<\/a> to an adult star, another accusing the\u200c former president of keeping classified documents with him after \u200cleaving office, and two blaming him for election interference in the 2020 presidential race.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-figure\">\n<figure style=\"width:600px\" class=\"alignnone\"><figcaption>Pro-Trump protesters gather in front of\u200b the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021. (Brent Stirton\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>During a Sept. 8 Twitter Space event, Mr. Tarrio \u2064revealed to the outlet the names of two \u200cofficials who were in the meeting when\u200d he was being pressured by federal agents to lie about President \u2062Trump\u2014DOJ Lead Prosecutor Jocelyn Ballantine and Assistant US Attorney Jason \u200bMcCullough.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Tarrio made similar allegations in a recent interview with The Washington Post. \u201cThey\u200b weren\u2019t trying to get \u200dthe truth,\u201d he said. \u201cThey were trying to coerce\u200c me into signing something that\u2019s not true.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<h3>Tarrio Sentencing, \u2063Targeting President Trump<\/h3>\n<p>Federal prosecutors had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/proud-boys-leader-enrique-tarrio-handed-22-year-prison-term-for-jan-6-attack-5486635\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sought<\/a> 33 years in prison for Mr. Tarrio, who was described by court documents as a \u201cnaturally charismatic leader, a savvy propagandist, and the celebrity chairman of the national Proud Boys organization.\u201d\u200b Defense attorneys\u2063 sought\u200d a \u200c15-year prison term.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Mr. Tarrio was portrayed as a terrorist, which his attorney Sabino Jauregui contested. \u201cMy client is\u2062 no terrorist,\u201d but rather a \u201cmisguided patriot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/doj-asked-me-to-lie-about-president-trump-for-indicting-him-proud-boys-enrique-tarrio\/\" title=\"DOJ urged me to falsely accuse President Trump, claims Proud Boys' Enrique Tarrio.\">eventual 22-year prison term<\/a> is the longest among all Jan. 6 defendants, exceeding the 18 years given to Oath Keepers founder Elmer Stewart Rhodes III in May, and Mr. Tarrio\u2019s co-defendant Ethan\u200d Nordean earlier this month.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-figure\">\n<figure style=\"width:600px\" class=\"alignnone\"><figcaption>Former U.S. President Donald Trump \u2062disembarks his plane &#8220;Trump Force\u2063 One&#8221; at Aberdeen Airport in Scotland on\u200c May 1, 2023. I thought he (Judge Kelly) was \u2063going to \u2063give me 27, 28, 30 years. \u2062When \u2062he gave me 22, I was\u200c happy \u200dfor a second \u200c\u2026 then I\u2062 really thought about it and realized \u2018what am I happy about?\u2019 It is a quarter of a century,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel numb. I\u2063 can\u2019t even say I feel bad or good. I am just numb. I\u2019m like \u2026 this is America. This is unreal to me. I don\u2019t think it ever will be real. I don\u2019t think I will wake up tomorrow and it will hit\u2064 me.
