One such crash \u200doccurred last month, resulting in the tragic deaths of three Marines.<\/p>\n<p>Gen. Eric Smith, the acting Marine Corps commandant and assistant commandant, has ordered \u200da servicewide review in response to these incidents, which is expected to \u2062be completed\u200b soon.<\/p>\n<h3>Tragic Losses and Ongoing Investigations<\/h3>\n<p>In late \u2062August, Marine Corps Cpl. Spencer R. Collart, Capt. Eleanor V. LeBeau, and \u200cMaj. \u2063Tobin J. Lewis lost their lives in an Osprey crash on Melville Island, Australia. Twenty others were \u200dinjured in the incident, and the investigation into the crash is still ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>Brig. Gen. Michael Conley, the Air Force Special Operations Command director of operations, expressed his condolences and emphasized the continued confidence in the aircraft, stating, &#8220;We remain confident in the aircraft.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lt.\u200c Gen.
