But, as they know, <em>inquiries<\/em> exist for\u2062 the purpose of uncovering \u200bevidence.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>The Substantive Evidence<\/h3>\n<p>Wait, what am I \u2064saying? There already exists <em>tons<\/em> \u2064 of substantive evidence that Joe Biden was &#8220;engaged&#8221; in the \u2062family racket. Now, it goes without saying that without the Biden \u200clast name, there is \u2063no \u200dBiden Inc. But numerous \u2064people\u200c have independently\u200c testified that he was involved.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The IRS whistleblowers charged with investigating Hunter Biden&#8217;s tax case \u200ctestified under oath that Joe was present in at least one meeting with Hunter&#8217;s foreign clients.<\/li>\n<li>In numerous private emails \u200dand texts he never imagined would\u2064 be made public, Hunter talks\u200d about his dad not only helping \u200dhim secure payments \u200bbut taking a \u200dcut for himself.<\/li>\n<li>Hunter&#8217;s former business partner contends that\u200d Joe was involved.<\/li>\n<li>Another\u200c of Hunter&#8217;s partners, who is also a former close\u200b friend, maintained under oath that Joe spoke to Hunter&#8217;s associates \u2062at least \u200b24 times,\u2064 often being dialed in \u200con the phone during \u200dbusiness meetings.<\/li>\n<li>An FBI informant documented \u200bconversations that indicated to him that Joe pressured \u200bforeign companies to send millions to the family business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And listen, I get that Democrats want us\u200b to believe \u200dit \u200dwas just crazy happenstance\u2063 that Joe\u200c Biden pressured the Ukrainian \u200cgovernment to fire \u200da prosecutor who happened to be investigating a company\u2062 that was \u2063paying his son $1 million a year. But if the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-psaki-grilled-over-whether-biden-ignored-advice-on-afghanistan-if-he-lied-to-americans\/\" title=\"WATCH: Psaki Grilled Over Whether Biden Ignored Advice On Afghanistan, If He Lied To Americans\">vice president knew<\/a> the two\u200b were in\u200c business \u2014 and since he had a <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/10\/14\/email-reveals-how-hunter-biden-introduced-ukrainian-biz-man-to-dad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sit down<\/a> \u200bwith \u2064Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi,\u2063 it\u200d is highly \u2063likely he did \u2014 then his actions were a corrupt conflict of \u200binterest.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>That&#8217;s also all\u2063 evidence.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>The Changing Standards<\/h3>\n<p>Yet, Democrats want to create new evidentiary standards \u2062for both\u2063 investigations\u2063 and for impeachment. No, Joe didn&#8217;t need to commit \u200da crime \u2063to be impeached. No, Biden didn&#8217;t need to <em>directly<\/em> benefit from\u200b his family&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-bidens-corrupt-shell-company-named-after-deceased-mothers-birthplace-map-tattooed-on-his-back\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden's Corrupt Shell Company Named After Deceased Mother\u2019s Birthplace; Map Tattooed on His Back\">corrupt business ventures<\/a> to \u2064be \u2063corrupt.<\/p>\n<p>If\u2062 one\u2064 of the most\u2063 powerful people \u2062in the United States government allows or participates in \u2063a scheme to trade on his power to make millions for his family (or deliberately gives the impression that he&#8217;s willing to do so), it may or may not be illegal, \u200dbut it\u200d is clearly unethical.<\/p>\n<p>Money, incidentally,\u2064 is\u200d fungible. Just because a shady Ukrainian isn&#8217;t writing &#8220;re:\u200d Joe Biden \u200cinfluence trading&#8221; on the memo line of a check doesn&#8217;t mean the president didn&#8217;t benefit. Perhaps further inquiry into \u2062the\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/09\/investigators-biden-business-brought-in-20-million-and-counting-from-foreign-oligarchs-while-joe-biden-was-vp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">20 shell companies<\/a> and\u200d dozens of bank accounts, or the 5,000 emails in which\u2062 Joe \u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/29\/national-archives-identifies-over-5000-emails-containing-joe-bidens-business-pseudonyms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">used pseudonyms<\/a> to converse with Hunter \u200dand presumably others \u2014 all \u200dof it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/theres-more-than-enough-evidence-for-a-joe-biden-impeachment-inquiry\/\" title=\"Ample evidence supports Joe Biden's impeachment inquiry.\">completely normal stuff<\/a>\u2062 for an above-board family business, right?\u200b \u2014 will provide some answers.<\/p>\n<h3>The Double Standard<\/h3>\n<p>Now, \u2063obviously there are partisan dimensions to an impeachment. And obviously some people\u200c overstate the existing case against the president. But let&#8217;s not forget that Joe Biden has been lying about his knowledge of\u2063 Hunter&#8217;s business\u2064 dealings \u200cfor years. \u200dWhen Biden was asked if he had ever spoken to Hunter about Burisma in 2020, he <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/25\/the-best-case-scenario-in-the-biden-inc-scandal-is-bad-enough\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>, &#8220;No. No, I don&#8217;t, because I never discussed with my son\u200c anything having \u2062to do \u200dwith\u2063 what was going on \u200din Ukraine. That&#8217;s a fact.&#8221; That was a <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/21\/everyone-knows-why-joe-biden-used-a-pseudonym-corruption\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lie<\/a>. When Biden was asked in\u2062 2020\u200b if his\u2062 son ever made money from Chicom business ventures, the Biden\u200d campaign said no. That <a href=\"https:\/\/s3.documentcloud.org\/documents\/23888608\/transcript-of-july-26-2023-hearing.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">was<\/a> \u200c a lie. And there are many other instances.<\/p>\n<p>If the president&#8217;s relationship with \u2064Hunter was entirely separate and innocent \u2014 \u2062a product of their <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tomselliott\/status\/1701948037118021878\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">love<\/a> \u2014 why has Joe been lying about it for years?<\/p>\n<p>Whatever the \u200ccase, standards \u2063have suddenly changed. Recall that Democrats <em>claimed without evidence<\/em> \u200b for years that Donald Trump was\u2062 a Russian asset. To say there is \u200dmore \u2062evidence \u200dof Biden&#8217;s wrongdoing than was \u2064offered in any story connected\u2064 to Trump-Russia collusion, a\u200d hysteria based on \u200dleaks, anonymous sources, and\u2064 fictitious works of political opposition, is to dramatically understate the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Take Rep. Adam\u200d Schiff,\u2063 who famously claimed not only to have uncovered a criminal conspiracy by Donald\u200c Trump&#8217;s 2016 campaign \u2062but also \u2062to be in personal possession of smoking-gun &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CBSNews\/status\/1102237625665097728\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">direct evidence<\/a>.&#8221; I have gone through dozens of pieces \u2062related to Schiff&#8217;s\u2064 declaration, and \u2064not one reporter writes that the California congressmen did so &#8220;<em>without evidence<\/em>&#8220;\u2063 \u2014 or\u200c anything approaching that kind of wording. Not in the text, much less\u2062 in a\u2064 headline.<\/p>\n<p>If the legacy political\u2063 media were doing their job defending &#8220;democracy,&#8221; outlets would be deploying teams\u2063 of crack journalists to \u2064track down leads and find out if there\u200d is any evidence related to\u2064 Biden&#8217;s wrongdoing, as \u200dthey did with\u200d Trump, rather than playing defense for the most powerful\u2062 man in the world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Without evidence, House Republicans have relentlessly pursued investigations into Joe Biden and his son, alleging an influence peddling scheme.
