The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/671047106\/2023-09-13-Letter-to-House-Judiciary-10-7-22-Notes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">letter<\/a> also contained a redacted 10th new document:\u2062 the handwritten notes Shapley took during the\u200c Oct. 7, 2022, meeting \u200din which Delaware U.S. Attorney David\u2063 Weiss\u200c allegedly announced\u200d to his team that\u200b he was \u201cnot the deciding \u200cofficial on whether\u2062 charges\u200d are filed\u201d against Hunter Biden. <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Those handwritten\u2062 notes further bolster Shapley\u2019s \u2064earlier testimony about the meeting and debunk counterclaims by the \u2062<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wow-pa-election-observer-drops-bombshell-says-special-agents-from-ags-office-showed-up-at-her-door-to-question-her-after-she-testified-video\/\" title=\"WOW! PA Election Observer Drops BOMBSHELL - Says Special Agents from AG's Office Showed Up at Her Door to Question Her After She Testified (VIDEO)\">special agent<\/a> in\u2063 charge of\u200c the FBI\u2019s Baltimore field office that \u2063Weiss\u200c had not said he lacked authority to charge Hunter Biden. What the \u200cother nine documents \u200creveal, however, remains to be seen.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>IRS Whistleblower Provides New Evidence<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cYesterday the\u200c Washington Post published a story reportedly based on a \u200dtranscript it obtained of the Committee\u2019s interview\u2063 of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Special Agent in Charge Thomas\u2062 J. Sobocinski,\u201d\u2062 the letter from Shapley\u2019s Empower Oversight attorneys to the House Judiciary \u2063Committee\u200b opened. Sobocinski was one of \u2062seven attendees at the Oct. 7, 2022, meeting, in which \u2014 according to Shapley\u2019s previous testimony, corroborated by an email he sent following the meeting \u2014 Weiss said he\u2063 was \u201cnot the deciding official\u201d on whether to\u200d charge Hunter Biden and that he had been denied special counsel\u2064 authority to charge the president\u2019s son\u2063 in D.C. or California. <\/p>\n<p>As The Federalist reported earlier Wednesday based on its review of the transcript of Sobocinski\u2019s interview, \u201cSobocinski \u200bclaimed he did not remember Weiss saying\u2062 he had sought (and been denied)\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/former-ag-bill-barr-to-merrick-garland-appoint-a-special-counsel-already\/\" title=\"Former AG Bill Barr To Merrick Garland: Appoint A Special Counsel Already\">special counsel status<\/a> or that Weiss \u200chad represented that he was \u2064\u2018not the deciding official.\u2019\u201d Further, \u201caccording to Sobocinski, had Weiss said either of those things, he would have remembered it,\u201d\u200c with the FBI agent implying Shapley\u2019s claims were false. <\/p>\n<p>According to the transcript, Sobocinski tried to discredit Shapley\u2019s testimony and \u2063the email \u2062he \u200chad sent following the October meeting \u200bby stressing \u2062that Shapley had not drafted the\u2063 email during\u2064 the meeting and thus the notes were not really \u201ccontemporaneous\u201d with Weiss\u2019s\u2064 supposed statements. <\/p>\n<p>In its Wednesday letter to \u2064the\u2064 Judiciary Committee,\u200b Shapley\u2019s legal\u2063 team responded \u2064to Sobocinski\u2019s objections by providing\u2063 the committee a redacted copy of Shapley\u2019s \u201ccontemporaneous handwritten notes,\u201d in\u200b order to let the committee \u201caccess the truthfulness and reliability \u2064of Mr. Sobocinski\u2019s testimony.\u201d Empower Oversight, which represents Shapley, further stressed in its letter that,\u2064 unlike Shapley, Sobocinski took\u2063 no notes during the meeting on Oct. 7, 2022.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Shapley\u2019s\u2064 handwritten notes\u200c taken during the meeting do indeed\u2063 track the email summary he sent later that \u200cevening. In his \u2063notes, he wrote: \u201cWeiss stated\u2014 He is not the deciding person.\u201d This provides strong corroboration for Shapley\u2019s email and his testimony. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Interference in the\u2063 Hunter Biden Investigation<\/h3>\n<p>Conversely, Sobocinski\u200d has nothing to corroborate his (lack of) recollection of the meeting. Sobocinski \u200chas also proven \u2064himself not credible by <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/09\/13\/fbi-agent-trying-to-discredit-whistleblower-testimony-blew-his-own-credibility-in-covering-for-weiss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">testifying<\/a> \u2062 that Weiss had ultimate authority to charge Hunter Biden anywhere, anytime \u2014\u2064 well, kinda, \u2063sort of, not really. <\/p>\n<p>While Shapley\u2019s\u2062 credibility remains bars above Sobocinski\u2019s, the bottom line is\u2062 it doesn\u2019t really matter what Weiss <em>said <\/em>during the October meeting. What matters is\u2064 what <em>happened <\/em>and whether Biden\u2019s Department of Justice refused to pursue tax felony charges in other \u2064venues \u2062and kept Weiss from doing\u200b so himself. What\u2064 matters is whether the DOJ and FBI interfered in the Hunter Biden investigation. <\/p>\n<p>On the first question,\u200b Americans may \u200dnever get a clear answer, as Weiss continues \u2062to obfuscate and cover for\u200b Attorney General Merrick Garland. But on the DOJ and FBI\u2019s interference \u200bin\u200d the Hunter Biden investigation,\u200c there is\u200c already \u2062overwhelming evidence establishing\u200b this scandal \u2014\u200d and \u2062it isn\u2019t\u2062 merely coming\u2064 from Shapley or his fellow IRS whistleblower. Rather, another whistleblower exposed the burying of the FD-1023 form, which <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/02\/grassley-reveals-he-has-already-seen-the-bombshell-whistleblower-doc-the-fbi-is-hiding\/\">implicated<\/a> both Hunter and Joe Biden in a Burisma \u2064bribery scandal. That whistleblower also revealed\u2064 to \u200cSen. Chuck \u200bGrassley that FBI Supervisory\u200d Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten opened an \u201cassessment\u201d in\u2064 August 2020 to improperly discredit \u201cverified and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/grassley-reveals-he-has-already-seen-the-bombshell-whistleblower-doc-the-fbi-is-hiding\/\" title=\"Grassley saw FBI's hidden whistleblower document.\">verifiable\u201d derogatory intel<\/a> about Hunter Biden.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The nine new documents Shapley provided to the House Ways and Means Committee and the Senate Finance Committee may\u200d add even more evidence of the DOJ and FBI\u2019s interference in the investigation of\u200d the president\u2019s son. But unless and until the\u2062 committees vote\u200c to\u200b release that information publicly, they will remain secreted from the American public.
