Version: 4.0.47--><h2>Former President Donald Trump to Review Classified Evidence in Secure Location<\/h2>\n<div>\n<figure><figcaption>Reuters<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Former president <strong>Donald Trump<\/strong> and his lawyers may only review classified evidence in a secure place\u2063 as he prepares for a criminal trial \u2064over his handling of secret documents after he left \u200coffice in 2021, a judge ruled on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trump<\/strong>, the \u2063front-runner \u2063for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, has been charged along with two aides with illegally storing \u2063troves of classified documents at his personal residence and lying to federal investigators who sought to retrieve them.<\/p>\n<p>He had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-may-only-review-evidence-in-secure-location-judge-says\/\" title=\"Judge: Trump limited to reviewing evidence in secure location.\">opposed strict security protocols<\/a> for the \u200bclassified evidence as \u200cinconvenient, saying he and his lawyers should\u200d be able to review them\u200d in his office at his <strong>Mar-a-Lago<\/strong> estate, his personal residence in Palm Beach, Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday&#8217;s \u2062ruling by\u200d U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon in Florida is a win for prosecutors, who said it would be inappropriate for\u200d <strong>Trump<\/strong> to\u2062 be able to review classified documents at the very location where\u200c he is accused of illegally and haphazardly storing them.<\/p>\n<p>The order \u200crequires <strong>Trump<\/strong> \u200cand his lawyers to review and discuss all classified evidence in what\u200c is known as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/donald-trump-arrested-five-things-to-know-for-tuesdays-classified-documents-court-hearing\/\" title=\"Key points for Tuesday's classified documents court hearing involving Donald Trump's arrest.\">sensitive compartmented information \u200cfacility<\/a>, or SCIF.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trump<\/strong> was charged in an indictment in June with criminal counts, including violations of the Espionage Act, conspiracy to obstruct justice, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sidney-powell-is-an-american-legal-giant\/\" title=\"Sidney Powell Is an American Legal Giant\">making false statements<\/a>\u2063 to \u2062investigators.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trump<\/strong> has pleaded not guilty\u200d and denied the charges, along with his\u2063 co-defendants\u2062 Walt Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trump<\/strong> is \u200dalso under indictment in Washington, D.C., and Georgia over his alleged efforts to reverse his 2020 election loss to \u200cDemocratic President Joe Biden and in New York over a \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-grand-jury-seated-for-next-stage-of-trump-investigation\/\" title=\"New Grand Jury Seated for Next Stage of Trump Investigation\">hush-money payment<\/a> he paid to a porn\u2064 star.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trump<\/strong> has\u200b pleaded not guilty and denied wrongdoing in all the cases.
