Notably, \u2062though,\u2062 ST\u2019s mental capacity is \u2063 <em>not<\/em> affected by the disease.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2063 teenager wants to fight until\u2064 her last day, and\u2062 has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/president-trump-please-create-an-executive-order-and-have-2020-ballots-and-images-audited-in-select-states-using-jovan-pulitzer-method\/\" title=\"President Trump PLEASE CREATE AN EXECUTIVE ORDER and Have 2020 Ballots and Images Audited in Select States Using Jovan Pulitzer Method\">repeatedly told<\/a> medical \u200dprofessionals that\u2063 she wants \u200cto seek experimental treatment \u200boutside of the U.K. The U.K.\u2019s National Health\u200c Service (NHS), though, wants to remove\u200d the teen from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trans-jeopardy-winner-speaks-at-white-house-trans-laws-in-red-states-will-cause-the-deaths-of-children\/\" title=\"Trans \u2018Jeopardy!\u2019 Winner Speaks At White House: Trans Laws In Red States \u2018Will Cause The Deaths Of Children\u2019\">life-saving medical treatment<\/a>, which would condemn her to \u200bdeath, potentially in a matter of days.<\/p>\n<p>In \u2064fact, the NHS Trust,\u2064 apparently perturbed that this youth wouldn\u2019t take their advice and just die already, went to court in April to \u200dargue that the teen \u2064is not capable of making her own medical decisions. The Trust, comprised\u2062 of NHS \u200cbureaucrats, successfully argued before a judge \u200cthat the \u200cteen was <em>delusional<\/em> for not agreeing \u200bwith her\u200b doctors that \u2063she has no hope\u2063 and needs to just \u2062agree to die.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Here\u2019s what the judge, Mrs. Justice Roberts, wrote \u2064in her judgment, which was issued in late August:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn my judgment [\u2026] \u2063ST is unable to make a decision for herself in relation \u2064to her future medical \u2063treatment, including the proposed move to palliative care, because she does not believe the \u2063information she has been given by her doctors.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The judge went on to say that\u200b ST isn\u2019t merely making an \u201cunwise\u201d decision, <em>which she would supposedly permit<\/em>. But \u200bthe teen is instead making an unacceptable choice, in the judge\u2019s view, since in ST\u2019s thought process, she is not \u2063affirming that her doctors are correct.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, ST has \u200ccommitted a thought crime by not <em>trusting the experts<\/em>. And, thus, she is \u201cdelusional\u201d and \u200bbarred from making\u2064 her own\u200c medical decisions.<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind, two psychologists \u2014\u200d two experts, if you will \u2014 have determined that ST is in\u2062 control of her mental \u2063faculties and can make these vital decisions for herself.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cDespite\u200b all the difficulties which \u2062currently confront\u200d her, \u200cST is able to communicate \u2062reasonably well with her doctors with\u2064 assistance from her mother and, on occasion, speech therapists,\u201d the judge\u200c acknowledged. \u201cI heard\u2062 evidence from \u2063two consultant psychiatrists whose \u2064conclusions in relation to her capacity\u200b in both domains are set out\u2062 in full written reports. \u2026 the two most recent capacity reports\u2062 from Dr C and Dr D (both consultant psychiatrists who assessed ST in the days leading up to the \u2062hearing) suggested \u200dthat she had capacity to make these choices for herself. The Trust,\u2064 relying\u2062 on the evidence of her treating clinicians, takes a different view.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Those two experts\u2019 opinions, apparently, don\u2019t hold as much weight\u2064 as the NHS Trust.<\/p>\n<p><strong>According \u200cto\u200d Catholic news outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetablet.co.uk\/news\/17580\/-perilous-ruling-on-dying-19-year-old-s-capacity-to-decide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Tablet<\/a>, her parents \u2062also <\/strong><strong>disagree<\/strong><strong>  with the judge, \u201cWe are very distressed by this injustice, and we hope that, by Jesus\u2019s grace, this will be \u200bcorrected on appeal.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now, the Court of Protection gets to \u2062decide what to \u200cdo with \u2063ST\u2019s\u2064 care, and it\u2019s not looking good.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, ST\u2019s diagnosis is the same diagnosis\u200d as a London infant \u200bnamed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/charlies-law-parents-baby-charlie-gard-getting-amanda-prestigiacomo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Charlie Gard<\/a>.\u200c In Guard\u2019s tragic case, courts \u2062ordered\u2064 the\u2062 baby\u2019s parents, Connie Yates and Chris\u200b Gard, to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trust-the-experts-englands-nhs-moves-forward-to-kill-teen-whos-desperately-asking-to-live\/\" title=\"NHS Proceeds to End Teen's Life Despite Plea to Survive\">bypass possibly life-saving experimental treatment<\/a>\u200b for their\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/what-i-learned-from-the-beadle\/\" title=\"What I Learned from the Beadle\">infant son<\/a>; they were forced to watch baby Charlie die in a London hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie, just a baby, couldn\u2019t \u200cspeak for himself. But in ST\u2019s case, she can \u2014 and she continues to do so.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy\u200c the time you read this, \u200cI could be dead. That\u2019s according to my doctors who, for the last year, have repeatedly told me \u2064that I have \u200chad only \u200ddays to live. But I am a fighter\u2064 and will continue to fight,\u201d\u200c the defiant \u2062teen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-12496945\/EXCLUSIVE-doctors-insist-time-died-fight-Extraordinary-battle-19-year-old-woman-suffering-Charlie-Gard-condition-battling-medics-attempts-condemn-death.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> The Daily Mail \u200cthis\u200d week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related:\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/guardian-charlie-gard-children-do-not-belong-their-amanda-prestigiacomo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ethics Professor On Charlie Gard: \u2018Children \u2063Do Not Belong To\u2062 Their Parents\u2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ST noted that \u2064she \u200dis unable\u2064 to publicly \u200dspeak about her case, as per the\u2062 court\u200c order supposedly meant \u200cto protect <em>her<\/em>. This means\u200b it\u2019s\u200c been impossible for ST to fundraise for the potential\u2063 or receive experimental treatment, which has been offered\u200b to her in both Canada and the U.S. And at the very least,\u200d it keeps her family financially strapped as\u2063 they continue\u2064 to try to appeal and fight for \u200btheir \u2062daughter\u2019s life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\u2018They\u2019ve done everything they can to stop me telling this \u2064story,\u201d ST said. \u201cI have\u2063 found myself trapped in a medical and legal system governed by a toxic paternalism\u2062 which has condemned me for wanting to live.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Still, the resilient teen, buoyed by her tight family and her Christian faith, is determined to fight until the end.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am in a race against time to escape from this system and the certain death it wishes to impose on me,\u201d she said. \u201cBut I am a fighter and will continue to \u2064fight. \u200bI trust in God and \u200bwill not give up hope.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILY WIRE APP<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 19-year-old girl, known as &#8220;ST&#8221; by the courts, has been condemned to death despite her pleas to live.
