They are warning that\u2064 Speaker Kevin McCarthy&#8217;s leadership position could be at risk if a continuing \u2064resolution (CR)\u200d to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jpmorgan-ceo-jamie-dimon-predicts-when-americans-savings-will-run-dry\/\" title=\"JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon Predicts When Americans\u2019 Savings Will Run Dry\">maintain current spending<\/a> is passed this month.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cGreen\u2064 lighting a so-called clean\u200b or unqualified\u2062 or blind CR is completely\u200b out of the question,\u201d\u200c Rep. Andy Clyde (R-Ga.) said at a House\u2063 Freedom \u2063Caucus press event on Sept. 19.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt would endanger the Republican majority and endanger Speaker McCarthy&#8217;s leadership. We will not kick the can\u2064 of \u2064<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/freedom-caucus-members-vow-to-cut-spending-hint-at-consequences-for-speaker-mccarthy\/\" title=\"Freedom Caucus members pledge to reduce spending, imply repercussions for Speaker McCarthy.\">addressing excessive government spending<\/a> down the road again in \u200dorder to buy the uni-party more time to produce yet another horrendous \u200cbackroom \u2064deal.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Primary Demand Not Met<\/h3>\n<p>Representative Clyde and others\u200b expressed frustration with McCarthy&#8217;s\u2062 failure to fulfill the primary\u200c demand\u2062 made by\u2064 hardliners in exchange for their support during his bid for leadership in January: cutting\u200d spending.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe talked about reducing spending. That was a part of the agreement,\u201d Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) said. \u201cWe all know that we talked about it publicly. \u2062We haven&#8217;t done \u200dthat. Period. Full stop. We haven&#8217;t done what we agreed\u2064 to\u200d do.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Representative Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), who is not a\u2063 member of the House Freedom Caucus, issued a\u2063 more explicit warning, stating that using Democrats to pass legislation opposed by a\u2064 majority of Republicans\u200b would\u200d violate the deal made with\u200c McCarthy and could trigger a motion to vacate his position.<\/p>\n<h3>Working Towards a Better \u2062Future<\/h3>\n<p>Despite the tensions, Representative Roy chose to focus on the \u2064challenges facing the country\u200b and the need\u2062 to \u200bfind a \u2064path forward.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cRight now,\u2062 we&#8217;re here presenting what we believe is the right path forward to make sure this country is \u200cactually saved from deficits, \u200cfrom <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-dont-we-talk-about-the-american-people-republican-congressman-erupts-on-house-floor\/\" title=\"\u2018Why Don\u2019t We Talk About the American People\u2019: Republican Congressman Erupts on House Floor\">wide open borders<\/a>, from a\u2063 woke military,\u200d and a\u2063 [Department of Justice] that\u2019s weaponized against\u2064 the \u2063American people,\u201d Mr. Roy said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd if \u200dDemocrats don&#8217;t want to work with us \u200con that, if some of our Republican colleagues don&#8217;t want to work with us on that, that&#8217;s on \u200dthem to figure out what&#8217;s\u2064 going to happen on \u2064Oct. 1,\u201d \u2063he\u2062 said, referring to a possible government\u2063 shutdown\u2064 when the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/congress-plans-votes-on-debt-ceiling-infrastructure-abortion-ahead-of-extremely-consequential-month\/\" title=\"Congress Plans Votes On Debt Ceiling, Infrastructure, Abortion Ahead Of Extremely Consequential Month\">fiscal year ends<\/a> on \u2063Sept. 30.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Time\u200b Running Out<\/h3>\n<p>With the end of\u200b the fiscal year approaching, Republican hardliners are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-new-daily-wire-poll-shows-woke-politics-could-hurt-mlbs-bottom-line\/\" title=\"EXCLUSIVE: New Daily Wire Poll Shows \u2018Woke Politics\u2019 Could Hurt MLB\u2019s Bottom-Line\">growing increasingly frustrated<\/a> with McCarthy&#8217;s perceived reneging on their deal \u200cand the potential blame they may face \u200dfor a government shutdown.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Mike\u200d Lee (R-Utah) summarized the situation, highlighting the lack of transparency \u2064and opportunity \u200dfor \u200binput in the legislative process.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cA small \u200dhandful of appropriators will \u2063write something up with a push \u2062from the law \u200cfirm of Schumer, McConnell, McCarthy, and Jeffries,\u201d \u200dMr. Lee\u2062 said, referring to\u200b congressional leaders Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and\u200c Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), and\u200c Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) \u200din addition to\u2063 Mr. McCarthy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will materialize\u2013Shazam! Here you go\u2013from out\u200d of nowhere.\u200c It is usually with just a few \u2062hours to go. You&#8217;ve got to pass this thing, and if you don&#8217;t, there&#8217;ll be a shutdown. If \u2064there&#8217;s a shutdown, we will blame you\u200c for \u2063that, \u200dbut vote how you want. You will\u200d have no opportunity to amend this, you will have no opportunity\u2063 to read it, to understand what&#8217;s in it, to share it with your constituents, \u200bto object to \u200bit, to improve it\u2063 to comment on it,\u201d Mr. Lee said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Fighting for the People&#8217;s House<\/h3>\n<p>Representative\u2063 Clyde\u200d emphasized \u200bthe need to continue the fight\u2064 against overspending and to restore the people&#8217;s voice \u200bin \u200dthe legislative process.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cBack\u2063 in January, we\u200c fought to fundamentally alter \u2064the way this institution\u2064 works. \u2062We fought\u2062 to\u200d restore the people&#8217;s \u2062House,\u201d \u2062Mr. Clyde said, saying\u200b that the fight \u200bmust continue\u200c to stop overspending.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Other \u200cmembers of \u2064the\u2062 House Freedom Caucus echoed\u2063 the sentiment, expressing their desire \u2062to rein \u200cin government abuses of power through responsible \u2064spending.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;re \u200bhere to\u2062 put our foot \u2063down and say\u2063 to this place, right here, it stops now,\u201d Rep.
