Each day things costs \u200ba little more, it\u2019s like always racing against the clock, searching and searching,\u201d said Laura Celiz as she\u200c shopped \u2062for groceries in Tapiales on the outskirts of \u2062Buenos Aires. \u201cYou buy whatever is cheaper in one place and go to the next \u2064place and buy something\u200c else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her husband, Fernando\u200d Cabrera, 59, was doing \u2064sums on\u200c a\u200c calculator to compare fruit and \u200dvegetable prices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this way we try to beat inflation \u2063or at\u2062 least compete with\u200c it a little,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Argentina is caught in \u200da cycle \u2063of economic crises, with a major loss of confidence \u200cin the peso driving steady depreciation, triple-digit\u200c inflation, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/argentine-shoppers-face-daily-race-for-deals-as-inflation-soars-above-100\/\" title=\"Argentine shoppers rush for deals amidst skyrocketing inflation of over 100%.\">negative central bank reserves<\/a> and a flagging economy due to drought hitting farming.<\/p>\n<p>The country\u200b is also battling to \u2064salvage a $44 billion deal with the \u2063International Monetary Fund\u200b (IMF) and facing the prospect of a $16 billion legal bill after a U.S. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-admin-sues-over-arizona-law-requiring-proof-of-citizenship-to-vote-in-federal-elections\/\" title=\"Biden Admin Sues Over Arizona Law Requiring  Proof of Citizenship to Vote in Federal Elections\">court ruling related<\/a> to \u2062the state \u2064takeover of energy firm YPF\u2063 a decade ago.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s playing into a race towards presidential elections next month, with radical libertarian Javier Milei the shock frontrunner ahead of establishment candidates economy minister Sergio Massa and conservative Patricia Bullrich.<\/p>\n<p>And inflation\u2064 itself could still\u200b get worse amid the election uncertainty, which has revived memories of hyperinflation from the 1980s among those who\u2063 lived through it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome estimate say it could accelerate to 180%, which \u200cis why \u2062we are talking about record inflation levels,\u201d said local economic \u2063analyst Dami\u00e1n Di Pace, adding that \u2064other nations in the region\u200b were meanwhile seeing \u200dinflation cool.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile the rest of the Latin American countries have single-digit inflation, Argentina is already in\u2063 triple-digits.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Business owners, who themselves face \u200da tricky cycle of wholesale prices rising \u200bbefore they\u2019ve \u2062shipped merchandise\u200b and been able to restock, are also suffering from\u200d product shortages due to the\u2063 uncertainty of inflation.<\/p>\n<p>Butcher Marcelo Capobianco, 53, fears having to\u2063 close \u2063his business and is considering emigrating overseas.
