My adrenaline\u2019s pumping. I\u2019m p*ssed off right now,\u201d the singer said in a video posted\u200c to\u2064 Instagram on\u200c Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t \u2063buy Cotton Eyed Joe tickets for $99 a piece and sure as hell don\u2019t buy VIP passes for whatever bulls*** price they\u2019re on,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/new-oliver-anthony-song-goes-viral-overnight-ends-fitting-bible-verse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anthony<\/a> explained that a\u2064 friend of his, who \u200cis a plumber by trade, has been filling in as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/oliver-anthony-concert-canceled-after-furious-singer-sees-ticket-prices-i-had-to-pull-off-on-the-side-of-the-road\/\" title=\"Oliver Anthony Concert Axed Due to Outrageous Ticket Prices: 'I Had to Stop on the Roadside'\">part-time booking agent<\/a> for the performer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe agreed to this show, I\u200b guess, without asking what the ticket\u2064 prices are,\u201d Anthony said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t pay $100 for\u2064 a\u2062 ticket. That\u2019s horses***. If we\u2019ve got to cancel the \u2064venue and play somewhere else, we \u200bwill. I will do better \u200cnext time. \u200dWe \u2064are still learning,\u201d he promised.<\/p>\n<p>In a Facebook post,\u200b Anthony wrote, \u201cI am \u200dnot \u200cpointing fingers \u200bat Cotton \u200cEyed Joe, I\u200c don\u2019t know where the miscommunication took place.\u2063 I\u2019m just upset\u2063 seeing those prices.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s looking for another venue \u2063in Knoxville where the\u200c ticket \u2064price will be $25.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will work \u2062to get your\u200d tickets refunded from\u200c my own budget\u2064 if\u2064 they can\u2019t. This will \u200dnever \u200chappen again.\u200b Thanks for \u2064your patience. I am still\u2063 learning how all\u200d of this works,\u201d Anthony said.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The News\u200b Sentinel reported that Cotton Eyed Joe had written in a\u200b Facebook post \u2014\u200c which \u200bis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/CottonEyedJoeKnoxville\/posts\/pfbid0Q7SnfprBBJEnjxJpW2NEt3oDrQqSdomDuTXgSPMsLg3AnULuuhrk8mRWU2cqkuX7l\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">no longer\u200d available<\/a> \u2014 that Anthony had agreed to play \u2064a 60-minute set at \u2062the Knoxville bar for $120,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe set the ticket price \u2063to break even,\u201d\u00a0 the post stated.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t clear which side actually canceled the\u2064 show.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony\u2019s \u2063statements make it\u200b clear he was willing to\u2064 cancel over the\u200b ticket prices, but he doesn\u2019t \u2063actually say it outright.
