It also\u200d receives\u200b financial support from the American Rescue Plan \u2062and \u2064local governmental departments.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being\u2063 central to its \u200dmission, the term \u2063&#8221;hate&#8221; \u2064is \u200cnot clearly defined anywhere on the group&#8217;s \u2064website.\u2062 Nevertheless, its materials are scattered with ideological indicators. A series produced\u2064 by LA vs Hate and \u2062211 LA, called &#8220;Exploring Justice,&#8221; includes videos to &#8220;challenge \u200dour own prejudices \u200bby\u2064 educating\u200c ourselves on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/californias-new-math-framework-demands-educators-teach-toward-social-justice\/\" title=\"California\u2019s New Math Framework Demands Educators \u2018Teach Toward Social Justice\u2019\">social justice topics<\/a> and issues that many are still experiencing\u200d today,&#8221; with topics like\u200b &#8220;Privilege \u200band Oppression,&#8221; \u2062&#8221;Intersectionality,&#8221; \u200dand &#8220;Racial Justice.&#8221; They also tout merchandise and graphics with pro-trans and \u2064BLM messaging.<\/p>\n<p>Asked by The Federalist \u2063whether disagreement with trans ideology and the Black \u200dLives Matter \u200bmovement \u2014 both of which are featured approvingly\u200b on the project&#8217;s website \u2014 would constitute &#8220;hate,&#8221; the\u2062 group declined to\u200d respond.<\/p>\n<h3>Reporting &#8220;Hate Incidents&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>LA vs Hate encourages people \u200bto report &#8220;hate \u2062crimes&#8221; and &#8220;hate \u2062violence,&#8221; both of \u200cwhich are defined \u200cto include illegal offenses on the\u2062 group&#8217;s\u200d website. \u200cCritically, however, Angelenos are also \u2064told to report &#8220;hate incidents,&#8221; \u2062defined on the site as &#8220;an\u200d action or behavior motivated by hate but which, for one or\u200d more reasons, is not \u200ca crime.&#8221; Listed\u2063 examples of &#8220;hate incidents&#8221; include name-calling, insults, displaying so-called hate material on\u2062 your own \u2062property, posting\u200b alleged hate material that does not \u2062result in property damage, and distributing \u200cmaterials with hate messages in \u2062public\u200d spaces.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-99c4d5bddb9054d2291e4dbebe090f16 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-99c4d5bddb9054d2291e4dbebe090f16\"><\/div>\n<p>LA vs Hate did not provide a \u200dpublic definition of &#8220;hate&#8221; or \u200crespond to The Federalist with a definition when asked. Taxpayers, Christians, and Angelenos outside the far \u200cleft should be troubled \u2064by \u200dthis ambiguity, given recent efforts to use overly \u200cbroad definitions of\u200b hate to smear and punish political \u200dopponents.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2062left routinely weaponizes shame in the name \u2063of\u200b crushing \u2064everything\u2063 they deem &#8220;hate.&#8221; Most recently, Jordan \u2063Peterson has\u200b been the subject of attacks from\u2063 the College of Psychologists of\u2062 Ontario, \u2062and ordered to either\u2064 &#8220;submit to\u200b social media\u200d communication retraining or face a disciplinary\u200c hearing and\u200b possible suspension of [his] clinical license and the right to represent [himself] as a psychologist.&#8221; This is in response to\u2063 Peterson&#8217;s positions \u2064on\u2064 social and political issues\u2062 such as transgenderism \u2014 even though Peterson&#8217;s opinions fall well within the mainstream.<\/p>\n<p>But nobody is\u200d ideologically immune.\u2063 Cancellation knows no \u200cpolitical bounds, with Joe Rogan and \u200cmore liberal figures like J.K. \u200bRowling\u2064 at the forefront. Both were found guilty of common sense, resisting the transgender norms the left is trying \u2064to\u200d cement into our\u2064 society. These cases\u2062 all \u200dpoint to a\u2063 shifting Overton\u200b window.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2063tip \u2063line\u2064 is \u200cnot \u200daffiliated with law\u200d enforcement, so \u200dit poses the \u200bquestion: Why bother\u200b reporting\u200c so-called &#8220;hate&#8221;? \u2063The LA vs Hate website claims\u200d reporting is used so \u2063&#8221;communities can respond with appropriate resources and support&#8221; in response to \u200bactions &#8220;motivated\u2062 by hostile prejudice.&#8221; The ambiguity is intentional \u2063but transparent. \u2063These tip lines are\u200b unenforceable snitch lines\u2064 that police\u200d opinions and dissent with the most effective method: shame.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-f5dc23e2afc93adae86a143f49b82684 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-f5dc23e2afc93adae86a143f49b82684\"><\/div>\n<p>Inez Stepman, Independent Women&#8217;s Forum\u2062 senior policy analyst, said LA vs Hate is\u200d the \u2063hallmark of a \u200dleftist overhauling of\u2062 institutions. Stepman said, &#8220;The greatest conceit of conservatives \u2062for the last 30 years has been \u200cthat they can allow \u2063the left to take over every educational and \u2063culture-producing institution and\u200b that &#8216;life&#8217; would teach indoctrinated generations \u2062better in &#8216;the \u2062real world.&#8217; Well, here&#8217;s your real \u200bworld, we all live \u200bon campus now.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to \u2063its government \u200cfunding and corporate \u2063sponsors, LA vs\u2064 Hate is supported by \u2064the Anti-Defamation\u200c League and Taskforce, an \u200corganization that partners\u2064 with the United Nations, Google, Microsoft, and YouTube. 211 LA is funded by the L.A.
