The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/victoria-nuland-says-u-s-is-protecting-biological-research-facilities-in-ukraine\/\" title=\"Victoria Nuland Says U.S. Is Protecting \u201cBiological Research Facilities\u201d in Ukraine\">agency expressed concern<\/a> about the potential harm these unapproved products can cause, as drugs applied to the eyes bypass the body&#8217;s natural \u2063defenses.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Some of these eye products are labeled to contain silver, which\u200d may be characterized as silver sulfate, silver sulphate, or argentum. Long-term \u200buse of drugs containing silver\u200c can cause some areas of the \u2064skin and other body tissues, including in the eye, to permanently turn gray or blue-gray, which is called &#8216;argyria,'&#8221; the FDA warned.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Furthermore, the FDA emphasized that unapproved drugs\u2064 claiming to cure or prevent serious conditions \u2063may lead individuals \u200dto forgo \u2062or delay \u200dsafe\u2062 and effective \u200bmedical treatments that have undergone\u200d the FDA review process.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>The FDA sent warning letters to Boiron, CVS Health, DR\u200b Vitamin Solutions, Natural Ophthalmics, OcluMed, Similasan AG\/Similasan USA, TRP Company, and\u2063 Walgreens Boots Alliance. These companies are manufacturing or selling eye products that have safety concerns.<\/p>\n<h2>Affected Products<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Boiron\u2019s\u2062 Optique 1 Eye Drops<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">CVS Health Pink Eye \u200dRelief Drops<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">DR Vitamin\u2019s Vision Clarity Eye Drops, Life Extension Brite Eyes III, Can-C Eye \u2064Drops,\u200b and Longevity Science Visual Ocuity<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Natural Ophthalmics\u2019 Women\u2019s Tear \u2063Stimulation Dry Eye Drops, Allergy Desensitization Eye Drops, Ortho-K Thin (Daytime)\u2064 Eye Drops, Ortho-K Thick (Night) Eye Drops, Tear \u2062Stimulation Fort\u00e9 Dry Eye Drops,\u2062 and Cataract \u2064Eye Drops with Cineraria<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">OcluMed Eye Drops<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Similasan\u2019s Dry Eye Relief, Complete Eye Relief, Allergy Eye Relief, Kids Allergy Eye Relief,\u2064 Red Eye Relief,\u2062 Pink Eye Relief, Kids Pink Eye Relief, Aging Eye Relief, Computer \u2063Eye\u200c Relief, Stye \u200cEye Relief, Pink Eye Nighttime Gel, \u200band Dry Eye Nighttime Gel<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">TRP \u200dCompany\u2019s Dryness Relief, Pink Eye Relief, Allergy Eyes Relief, Red Eye Relief, Eye Strain Relief, Eye Lid\u200b Relief, Aging Eye Relief, Blur Relief, Floaters Relief, Twitching Relief, and Stye Relief<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Walgreens\u2019 Allergy Eye Drops, Stye Eye Drops, and Pink Eye \u2062Drops<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some\u2062 of the\u2062 warning letters also \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fda-warns-prominent-firms-against-marketing-and-selling-unapproved-eye-products\/\" title=\"FDA warns firms against selling unapproved eye products.\">mentioned quality issues related<\/a> to the sterility of the products.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>In late August, the FDA issued a recall of\u200d eyedrop products manufactured by Dr. Berne\u2019s Whole Health Products due to concerns about contamination.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The voluntary recall applies to all lots of Dr. Berne\u2019s MSM DROPS 5%, 15% Solution, Dr. Berne\u2019s Organic Castor Oil Eye \u200dDrops, and Dr. Berne\u2019s MSM \u2063MIST 15%\u2064 Solution, according to an FDA\u2063 recall notice.<\/p>\n<p>An \u2063analysis conducted by the FDA revealed that a lot of MSM DROPS 5% Solution failed sterility tests, with both bacterial and fungal contamination found\u200d in the product.<\/p>\n<p>These recalled products are used\u2062 as \u2064lubricating eyedrops and \u2064were sold through Dr. Berne\u2019s online store.<\/p>\n<p>A few \u2064days prior \u200cto the recall, the FDA issued a warning advising consumers not \u200bto purchase or\u2064 use two eyedrop products: Dr. Berne\u2019s MSM Drops 5% Solution and LightEyez MSM Eye Drops.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>These products contain methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) as an active ingredient.\u2063 The FDA\u200d states that these \u2062items are unapproved drugs and are illegally\u2064 marketed in the United States.\u200b There are no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/life-threatening-infection-fda-recalls-eye-drops-over-bacterial-fungi-contamination\/\" title=\"FDA recalls <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/400-plus-family-dollar-stores-close-in-six-states-after-rodent-infestation-discovered-recall-instituted\/\" title=\"400-Plus Family Dollar Stores Close In Six States After Rodent Infestation Discovered; Recall Instituted\">eye drops<\/a> due to bacterial and fungal contamination, posing life-threatening infection risk.&#8221;>legally marketed ophthalmic drugs<\/a> that contain MSM \u2063as an active ingredient.<\/p>\n<h2>Amniotic Fluid Eyedrop Warning<\/h2>\n<p>In April, the FDA issued a public safety notification regarding the sale of amniotic fluid eyedrops for the treatment of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-omicron-variant-mother-natures-covid-19-vaccine\/\" title=\"The Omicron Variant: Mother Nature\u2019s COVID-19 Vaccine?\">eye diseases<\/a>.
