Assembly Bill 665, also known \u2063as AB 665, \u2063has been dubbed by some as &#8220;state-sanctioned kidnapping.&#8221; This bill would grant children \u2062as young as\u200b 12 the ability \u200cto consent to \u200d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/psaki-on-reports-biden-admin-keeping-kids-on-floors-hungry-with-no-sun-its-trumps-fault\/\" title=\"Psaki On Reports Biden Admin Keeping Kids On Floors, Hungry, With No Sun: It\u2019s Trump\u2019s Fault!\">mental health counseling<\/a> and placement in a group home without their parents&#8217; knowledge or consent.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2063bill received a 31-8 vote in favor from state senators on September\u2063 6, followed\u2064 by a 60-16 vote \u200bfrom\u2064 the Assembly the next day. Kennedy states, &#8220;This is the wholesale emancipation of children. The state is saying your job is over when your child hits \u2062age 12.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>AB 665 is \u2064just \u2062one of several legislative bills introduced by\u2062 Democrats in California that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/americas-largest-teachers-union-has-donated-1-million-to-reelect-michigan-gov-whitmer\/\" title=\"America's Largest Teachers Union Has Donated  Million to Reelect Michigan Gov. Whitmer\">parental rights groups<\/a> believe aim to undermine parental rights, break\u2062 apart families, and promote \u2062&#8221;gender-affirming&#8221; medical interventions.<\/p>\n<p>According to Kennedy,\u2064 these bills are a direct threat to children and families, as they grant 12-year-olds the ability to \u200cseal\u2063 their medical records, obtain abortions, and receive vaccines without parental consent. She warns\u2062 that\u2064 group homes, where these children may be placed, are often unregulated and can expose\u2063 them \u2062to predators and sex\u2062 traffickers.<\/p>\n<p>The bill, introduced by Assemblywoman Wendy Carrillo (D-Los Angeles), would remove certain requirements in current law that state a\u200d minor \u2062must be in danger of serious harm or abuse\u200c before they can consent\u2062 to mental \u2062health treatment or counseling without parental permission. It would also\u200d expand the qualifications of those \u200bwho \u2063can provide treatment or counseling to these children.<\/p>\n<p>Proponents\u200d of \u200dthe bill argue that it aims to address the issue of low-income youth being excluded from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-celebrates-anniversary-of-toxic-burn-pits-legislation-in-utah-speech\/\" title=\"Biden marks toxic burn pits legislation anniversary in Utah speech.\">mental health coverage<\/a> under MediCal, \u200bwhich they consider discriminatory.
