Jeffries emphasized that this matter is not currently a priority for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/republicans-vowed-to-elect-more-women-they-did-just-that\/\" title=\"Republicans Vowed To Elect More Women...They Did Just That\">party leaders<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>McCarthy Faces Threats of Speakership \u2062Ouster\u2063 as Government\u2064 Shutdown Looms<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;The motion-to-vacate \u2062question\u2063 is a hypothetical one \u2063that&#8217;s not before us,&#8221;\u2064 Jeffries stated during a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/schumer-seeks-new-bipartisan-sanctions-against-china-over-fentanyl\/\" title=\"Schumer aims for bipartisan sanctions on China for fentanyl.\">press \u200bconference<\/a> on \u200cTuesday. &#8220;We have not discussed it, and I\u200b do not anticipate any discussions\u2064 about it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>These comments come in \u200dresponse to \u2064Rep. Matt Gaetz \u200c(R-FL) issuing his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/facebook-fact-checker-redefines-energy-independence-to-silence-biden-critics\/\" title=\"Facebook Fact-Checker Redefines \u201cEnergy Independence\u201d to Silence Biden Critics\">strongest warning<\/a> yet against McCarthy&#8217;s leadership. Gaetz listed\u2064 several unfulfilled\u2062 demands as evidence.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I rise today to serve notice, \u2064Mr. Speaker, that you are out \u200bof compliance with\u200d the agreement that allowed you to assume this role,&#8221; Gaetz declared. &#8220;The path forward \u2064for the House of Representatives is \u200bto either bring\u2062 you into immediate, total compliance or\u2064 remove you pursuant to\u2063 a motion \u200cto \u2063vacate the chair.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Gaetz initially \u200braised\u2064 the confidence vote over the weekend, threatening a motion if McCarthy did not\u2063 approve an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.
