And so today, on January 6, we declare death to \u2064tyranny! Death to tyrants!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/owen-shroyer-infowars-capitol-riot-sentencing-11cb087e9716061591fd46b6861c4c1c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Associated Press<\/a>, Shroyer pleaded guilty in\u2064 June to illegally entering\u200d a restricted \u2062area, \u200da \u200cmisdemeanor punishable \u200bby \u200da maximum sentence of one year behind bars.<\/p>\n<p>During Tuesday\u2019s sentencing \u2063hearing, NBC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/justice-department\/infowars-host-owen-shroyer-sentenced-jan-6-case-rcna104378\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> that\u200b Shroyer told the\u2062 court, \u201cI was not a part\u2064 of any larger\u2063 plan for illegal \u200bactivity or violence that \u2063day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\">CLICK HERE Press.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. District Judge Timothy\u200c Kelly, who \u2063just last \u2064week \u200chanded down a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/enrique-tarrio-sentenced-to-decades-behind-bars-the-longest-j6-sentence-to-date\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">22-year \u200bsentence<\/a> \u200cin federal prison to Proud Boys founder Enrique Tarrio\u200c for his \u200brole in the Capitol \u2064breach, told the \u2064InfoWars host that he \u201camped up\u201d the crowd on the Capitol steps.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cContext is \u200deverything,\u201d the judge\u2064 said. \u200b\u201cI do not believe that you \u200bwere trying\u200c to distract the\u2062 crowd or turn the crowd away from \u2064the Capitol.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors asked the court to sentence Shroyer\u200b to 120 days in\u2064 prison, including 12 months\u200c of supervised release, 60 hours\u200b of community \u2063service, \u200cand $500 in\u2062 restitution.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cSuch a \u2063sentence \u2064protects the community, \u2062promotes\u2064 respect for the law, \u200band deters future \u2064crime \u200bby imposing restrictions on his liberty\u2064 as a consequence\u2063 of his behavior,\u200d while recognizing\u200c his acceptance of responsibility for his \u2064crime,\u201d\u200c the prosecution wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Shroyer\u2019s defense \u2063team requested in <a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.dcd.234903\/gov.uscourts.dcd.234903.46.0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">court filings<\/a> on Sunday \u200bthat the\u2064 judge spare him incarceration, saying the case\u2062 had been \u201ccharacterized by a cooperative\u2064 spirit between \u2063the defense and the\u2062 Government,\u201d adding their client complied with federal inspectors\u200c to search \u200bhis \u200ccell phone without a warrant.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cBut when Mr. Shroyer appeared at the Capitol on January 6, \u20622021, he wore two hats: one \u2063was that of outraged citizen who \u2062believed that an election had been rigged, the other as full-time journalist \u200cand commentator who sought\u2064 a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-non-fungible-tokens-and-blockchain-are-changing-the-art-and-music-worlds\/\" title=\"How Non-Fungible Tokens And Blockchain Are Changing The Art And Music Worlds\">front-row seat<\/a> at an historic event,\u201d the defense wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Defense attorney Norm Pattis for Shroyer said he\u200b planned to appeal the sentence and has repeatedly\u2063 accused prosecutors\u2063 of\u200b infringing on his\u2064 client\u2019s\u2064 First Amendment\u200c rights.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cMr. Shroyer, and every person capable of speaking in the United States, \u2064has a right to utter the\u200d speech Mr. Shroyer used. \u2064That \u200bthe Government \u200dwould suggest otherwise\u2064 is a \u200dfrightening\u200b commentary\u2062 on our times,\u201d Pattis wrote in a\u200d court filing on \u200cSunday.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But prosecutors argue the charges\u200c against Shroyer do not infringe on his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/states-push-to-rein-in-big-tech-as-federal-gears-grind-slow\/\" title=\"States Push to Rein in Big Tech as Federal Gears Grind Slow\">free speech rights<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cShroyer cannot light a fire near a can\u2062 of gasoline, \u200cand \u2062then express concern or disbelief when \u200bit explodes,\u201d they wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A date was \u200cnot immediately set for Shroyer\u2063 to report to prison.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2063 Associated Press reported that Shroyer joins more than 1,100 people charged with Capitol breach-related federal crimes, of which over 650 have pleaded guilty, \u2064more than 600 were sentenced, \u2063and <a
