Wade<\/a> and gave speeches about their commitment \u200bto\u200b the issue of life.<\/p>\n<p>It was convenient.<\/p>\n<p>Roe was the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/lefts-claim-critical-race-theory-not-taught-in-schools-falls-apart\/\" title=\"Left\u2019s Claim Critical Race Theory Not Taught in Schools Falls Apart\">de facto law<\/a>\u200b of\u200d the land, \u2063and it didn\u2019t seem like\u200b it was going anywhere.<\/p>\n<p>So \u2062they joined the \u200bprayer rallies and did media tours about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/texas-ag-paxton-declares-sanctity-life-holiday-marking-end-baby-murder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sanctity of\u2064 life<\/a>, never\u2064 expecting anything to happen.<\/p>\n<p>And \u2063then, miraculously, it did.<\/p>\n<p>Through former President Donald Trump\u2019s appointments to the judiciary and\u2064 with the prayers of countless supporters of life, the seemingly \u200bimpossible became a reality: the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-roe-v-wade-overturned-trump-nominated-justices-help-deliver-biggest-pro-life-win-american-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">overturning of Roe v. Wade<\/a> by the Supreme Court on June\u2064 24, 2022.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe Constitution does not confer a right to abortion; Roe and Casey are overruled; and the authority\u200c to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives,\u201d Justice Samuel Alito wrote in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/opinions\/21pdf\/19-1392_6j37.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">decision<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The issues of abortion legality and restrictions were sent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/developing-trigger-laws-activating-across-america-outlawing-abortion-wake-roe-reversal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">back to\u2063 the states<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, all Republicans have to do is protect \u200cthis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/tufts-closes-china-backed-confucius-institute-after-protests\/\" title=\"Tufts Closes China-Backed Confucius Institute After Protests\">hard-fought victory<\/a> and the lives of all unborn children in this nation.<\/p>\n<p>But\u200c without the ability to hide behind Roe and with no Democrats to blame, many Republicans are beginning to show what they really believe.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/congress\/republicans-try-find-new-term-life-stave-electoral-losses-rcna103924\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC News<\/a>, Republican strategists are advising a shift in GOP candidates\u2019 messaging on abortion to get away \u2062from the \u2063term \u201cpro-life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-foreign-affairs-to-question-state-department-on-iran-envoy-suspension-this-week-report\/\" title=\"House Foreign Affairs Committee will question the State Department regarding the suspension of Iran envoy this week, according to a report.\">closed-door\u2063 meeting<\/a> of Senate Republicans this week,\u2064 the head of a super PAC closely \u200daligned with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., presented poll results that suggested voters are reacting differently to commonly \u200cused terms like \u2018pro-life\u2019 and \u2063\u2018pro-choice\u2019 in\u2064 the wake\u200b of \u200blast year\u2019s Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. \u2063Wade, said several senators who were in the room,\u201d the outlet reported Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>NBC News described the\u200d meeting Wednesday as an informational session to help\u2063 lawmakers \u200cbetter understand how their messaging might <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gops-closed-door-strategizing-over-pro-life-label-is-profane-equivocation\/\" title=\"GOP's secret discussions on 'pro-life' label are deceptive equivocation.\">impact elections based<\/a> on polling \u2014 made available to senators by former McConnell aide \u200dSteven\u200c Law \u2014 \u200cthat showed the term \u201cpro-life\u201d no longer resonated with voters.<\/p>\n<p>Further, the report said, the National Republican Senatorial Committee \u201cis encouraging Republicans to clearly state their opposition to a national abortion ban,\u201d according to a \u201csource familiar with the\u200c organization\u2019s strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The\u2063 source\u2063 said the Senate \u2063GOP\u2019s campaign arm is advocating\u200b that its candidates\u200b instead support\u200d \u201creasonable \u2062limits on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gun-murders-epidemic-nyt-call-10000-late-term-abortions-exceedingly-rare\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">late-term abortions<\/a> when babies can feel\u200d pain with exceptions for rape, incest and life \u2063of the mother.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some\u2064 Republican commentators and strategists had already started backing off \u201cevery life is precious\u201d and \u2062spouting Democratic talking points such as \u201csafe, legal and rare.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In\u2064 August, Fox News host <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hannitys-rebuke-gop-radical-abortion-justifies-americas-disappointment-uniparty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sean Hannity<\/a> expressed concern that abortion\u2063 bans before 15\u2063 weeks of\u2062 pregnancy might \u201cchase away many suburban \u2062voters.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Hannity: America\u2019s Stance on Abortion\u200b Is \u200cWhat Bill Clinton Once Said \u2014 \u2018Rare,\u2019 \u2018Legal,\u2019 \u2018Very \u200dEarly in the Pregnancy\u2019\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ilPdh5A2I0\">pic.twitter.com\/ilPdh5A2I0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Sean Hannity  (@seanhannity) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/seanhannity\/status\/1690031570487521280?\">August 11,\u200c 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>During the\u200b first GOP presidential primary debate this year,\u200d former U.N. Ambassador <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pro-life-gop-candidate-stunner-got-stop-demonizing-killing-babies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nikki Haley<\/a> came straight out with it, saying on the issue of a \u200bfederal \u200dabortion ban that we need to \u200c\u201chumanize\u201d rather than \u201cdemonize\u201d the abortion\u200b issue.<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\">\n<\/div>\n<p>According to NBC News, Republican Sen. Todd\u2062 Young of Indiana\u2064 characterized the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ny-gov-cuomo-shunned-experts-embraced-lobbyists-drove-top-health-officials-to-quit-over-pandemic-response-report\/\" title=\"NY Gov. Cuomo Shunned Experts, Embraced Lobbyists, Drove Top Health Officials To Quit Over Pandemic Response: Report\">closed-door meeting<\/a> as centered around \u201cpro-baby policies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When questioned about whether senators were advised to adopt a different term instead of \u201cpro-life,\u201d Young explained that \u201cpro-baby\u201d was a phrase he\u2063 coined to emphasize his deep concern for the well-being of babies.<\/p>\n<p>Which \u200cbrings up this question: Are Republicans now going to start debating when a \u201clife\u201d\u200b becomes a\u200c \u201cbaby\u201d?<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s apparent many Republicans want the GOP to be the party of restricted and limited baby killings while labeling\u200d the \u200dDemocrats\u2062 as \u200bthe party of unrestricted \u2062and unlimited\u200b baby killings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat intrigued me \u200cthe most about the \u2062results was \u200bthat \u2018pro-choice\u2019 and \u2018pro-life\u2019 means something different now, that people see being pro-life as being against all abortions \u2026 at all levels,\u201d Republican Sen. But I believe that after 15 weeks where the child can feel pain, they\u2064 should be protected.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Anti-abortion activists\u200b say \u201cpro-life\u201d is a \u2064fine description\u2064 of their cause.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe pro-life movement serves both\u2064 mother and child,\u201d a representative of Susan B. \u2063Anthony List Pro-Life America\u200c said\u200b in a statement. \u201cWe recognize\u200c the need to love and support them both. Today, the pro-abortion side opts to cut women from\u200d their communication entirely, choosing\u2062 instead to speak to \u2018pregnant people.\u2019 Now more than ever, the pro-life movement needs to continue emphasizing its commitment to both women and \u200dchildren.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, pro-abortion activists don\u2019t believe GOP attempts at equivocation\u2063 will work with \u2063voters.<\/p>\n<p>Christina Reynolds, a spokeswoman for Emily\u2019s List \u2014 an organization dedicated to promoting female candidates who \u2063advocate for abortion rights \u2014 told\u2064 NBC News that these \u200dadjusted statements \u201cunderestimate\u201d \u2064the public\u2019s understanding of the abortion issue, emphasizing that \u201cwrapping it up nicely\u201d will not alter \u200bvoters\u2019 opinions.<\/p>\n<p>Reynolds may\u2062 be on \u200dthe\u200d wrong side of the issue, but \u2064she\u2019s right about the \u200drepackaging of death.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2063 have seen something similar with the laundering of child mutilation into the friendly sounding term \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/cross-sex-hormones-kids-new-boom-planned-parenthood-horrors-expansion-plan-gender-affirming-care-nearly-50\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gender-affirming\u2063 care<\/a>.\u201d It\u2019s a\u200d game the\u200b left plays well, but it does not \u200dchange the outcome.<\/p>\n<p>Modifying the language on the issue of life is a Trojan \u200chorse designed to reintroduce abortion.
