Mr. Hussain, who\u200d was trying to avoid prison\u200c time for his own fraud case,\u2063 had gained attention\u200c in Newburgh by driving a flashy black BMW into the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/a-new-dem-bill-would-make-tent-cities-permanent-fixture\/\" title=\"A New Dem Bill Would Make \u2018Tent Cities\u2019 Permanent Fixture\">poverty-stricken area<\/a> of New York State.<\/p>\n<p>According to\u2064 the filing, \u201cIn\u2064 brief, Cromitie, an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/last-newburgh-four-prisoner-files-motion-for-release-cites-government-entrapment-in-post-9-11-plot\/\" title=\"Last 'Newburgh Four' inmate seeks release, claims entrapment in post-9\/11 scheme.\">impoverished small-time hustler<\/a>, was gulled by the Government\u2019s informant Shaheed Hussain to\u200d agree\u200b to commit horrendous\u200b terrorist crimes that he never would have\u2064 even thought of,\u200b let alone attempted or committed, if the Government had left him alone.\u201d\u200d It further states, \u201cThe offenses were heinous but never real and were made up \u2064by the Government in every respect. There was never any actual danger.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>James Cromitie&#8217;s attorney, Kerry Lawrence, believes that his\u200d client should be released &#8220;as soon\u2064 as possible.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">Last\u200d month, three of the four men convicted more\u2062 than\u200c a decade ago in a high-profile post-9\/11 terrorism\u2063 &#8220;sting&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/last-newburgh-four-prisoner-to-file-for-release-5487065\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">were ordered to be released<\/a> from prison by \u2064a judge\u2064 after her ruling \u2063that &#8220;the real lead conspirator was the United States.&#8221;<\/div>\n<p>U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon,\u2063 in her scathing\u2064 28-page \u200dorder, stated that Onta Williams, \u200cDavid Williams, and Laguerre Payen\u200c were caught up in a scheme driven by overzealous FBI agents and a manipulative informant. She wrote, &#8220;The FBI invented the conspiracy;\u2064 identified the targets; manufactured the ordinance; federalized what would otherwise have been a state \u2063crime &#8230; and picked the day for the &#8216;mission.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The arrests took place on May 20, 2009, following\u2062 an \u200cFBI\u200d operation that claimed the men were planning terrorist attacks on Jewish synagogues in and around New York City, as well as targeting National Guard planes. All four were sentenced to a minimum of 25 years in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-defector-emails-pipeline-to-obama-admin-seen-as-currency\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Defector Emails: 'Pipeline' to Obama Admin Seen as 'Currency'\">federal prison<\/a>. However, Judge McMahon reduced the sentences of three of the men to time served plus 90 days in her July 27 order.<\/p>\n<p>The four men targeted by the informant were\u2063 described as poor \u2063and unsophisticated. One of them, Laguerre Payen, \u200cwas arrested in a \u2062crack house surrounded by bottles of his own urine and suffered from\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/blm-cofounder-nuclear-family-for-me-not-for-thee\/\" title=\"BLM Cofounder: Nuclear Family for Me, Not for Thee\">severe mental illness<\/a>. It was later revealed that he \u200dbelieved Florida was a foreign country.<\/p>\n<p>The informant even offered to pay \u200dmedical bills for David Williams, one of his targets, after learning about\u2064 his \u200bbrother&#8217;s battle with liver\u200d cancer. Additionally, Mr. Hussain promised to cover rent and debts for the \u200bother men involved in the case.
