In specific voting rights cases,\u2063 the state \u2064can directly appeal to the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<h2>Federal Court Rejects Request for Stay<\/h2>\n<p>    Earlier on Monday, the \u2062same three-judge panel refused \u200dto grant Mr. Allen&#8217;s request for a stay regarding a ruling that mandated the appointment of a special master to create three potential congressional maps later in the month. This decision \u2063stemmed from an earlier\u200d determination that Alabama&#8217;s initial \u2063redistricting proposals were likely to\u200c diminish\u2064 the\u200b voting influence of black residents.<br \/>\n \u200b\n  <\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>    \u201cWe are deeply\u2063 troubled that the State enacted a map that the State \u2064readily admits does not provide the remedy \u2063we said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/for-five-states-to-stop-counting-on-election-night-is-absolutely-unprecedented-sidney-powell-lays-out-evidence-of-rampant-election-fraud-in-latest-interview-audio\/\" title=\"\u201cFor Five States to Stop Counting on Election Night Is Absolutely Unprecedented\u201d \u2013 Sidney Powell Lays Out Evidence of Rampant Election Fraud in Latest Interview (Audio)\">federal law requires<\/a>,\u201d the \u2063judges wrote \u2063(<a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.alnd.179302\/gov.uscourts.alnd.179302.289.0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pdf<\/a>).<br \/>\n\u2064\n  <\/div>\n<p>As\u200c a result of the state Legislature&#8217;s failure to comply,\u2062 a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/after-winning-redistricting-war-gop-poised-for-even-bigger-wins-in-november\/\" title=\"After Winning Redistricting War, GOP Poised for Even Bigger Wins in November\">court-appointed special master<\/a> will now draw Alabama\u2019s congressional map for\u2064 the 2024 election cycle.<\/p>\n<p>The three-judge panel concluded that there was no genuine &#8220;emergency&#8221; as asserted by Mr. Allen.<\/p>\n<p>The judges found that Mr. Allen had not demonstrated Alabama&#8217;s likelihood of success based\u200c on the merits \u200bof the case during the appeal process concerning the special \u200bmaster&#8217;s decision.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have said before that \u2018this is a straightforward Section Two case,\u200d not a legal unicorn,\u2019\u201d they wrote. \u200b\u201cThis case remains straightforward.
