GM made a new offer \u2064to the UAW over the weekend, but the details were not \u2064immediately \u200cavailable. \u2064GM declined to comment.<\/p>\n<p>The UAW\u2064 initially sought a \u200c20% wage hike upon ratification and four\u200d annual 5% hikes,\u200b but has\u200b trimmed those hikes \u200dto \u200baround \u200c36% in total, two sources told\u200c Reuters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe \u2062are on \u2062a good \u2062path \u200cand remain \u200ccommitted to reaching a \u200btentative\u2063 agreement without a work stoppage that would negatively impact our employees and our customers,\u201d Stellantis told employees Monday, adding\u2064 that the company and UAW subcommittees \u200dhave reached tentative agreements in\u200c a number of areas, including health and safety.<\/p>\n<p>Stellantis said \u200dFriday it had offered U.S. hourly workers a 14.5%\u2063 wage \u200bhike over \u2064four years.<\/p>\n<p>GM said Thursday it offered workers\u2062 a 10% wage\u200c hike \u2062and two additional 3% annual lump-sum payments\u200d over four years.
