It ended up being damning\u200b instead.<\/p>\n<p>A reporter for \u2064the state-propaganda\u200b network of NPR rode along on a\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/greg-gutfeld-pans-joe-and-kamalas-awful-adventure-the-1970s-called-they-want-their-unmitigated-disasters-back\/\" title=\"Greg Gutfeld Pans \u2018Joe And Kamala\u2019s Awful Adventure\u2019: \u2018The 1970s Called, They Want Their Unmitigated Disasters Back\u2019\">road trip<\/a> with \u2062Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm to get a look at the future of electric \u2063vehicles on the American road system.<\/p>\n<p>But amid the paeans to Granholm\u2019s background and the serious look\u200d at the problems facing the liberal dream about the future American auto \u200bfleet, one \u200bincident stood out \u2014\u2062 not just for what\u2063 it said about the\u2063 limitations of electric vehicles, but for what it meant about the arrogance of\u200d power.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Irate family called police \u2063on Jennifer \u2064Granholm\u2019s \u2063team for \u200bblocking charging station spot\u2063 for her electric \u2063car <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/cPZN7q2PYe\">https:\/\/t.co\/cPZN7q2PYe<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/FoxNews?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#FoxNews<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Bo\u200d Snerdley (@BoSnerdley)\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BoSnerdley\/status\/1701294960081858739?\">September \u206411, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It occurred in Grovestown, Georgia, about 170 \u200dmiles\u200d from the Granholm starting point of Charlotte, North Carolina, according to\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2023\/09\/10\/1187224861\/electric-vehicles-evs-cars-chargers-charging-energy-secretary-jennifer-granholm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NPR\u2019s Camila Domonoske<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At that distance, drivers in most \u200d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/two-ca-dem-senators-tell-biden-to-set-hard-date-to-eliminate-sale-of-gas-powered-vehicles\/\" title=\"Two CA Dem Senators Tell Biden To Set Hard Date To Eliminate Sale Of Gas-Powered Vehicles\">gas-powered vehicles<\/a> might be thinking about making\u200b a pit stop \u200cfor \u2062a snack or to take \u2062care of some biological needs, \u200bbut assuming \u2063they \u200cstarted with\u200d a full\u2063 tank, filling\u2062 up wouldn\u2019t be a necessity.<\/p>\n<p>Clearly, the\u2063 situation was different with Granholm\u2019s caravan of electric vehicles (no doubt armor-plated to protect the indispensable\u2062 secretary from the white supremacist domestic\u200d terrorists the\u200c Biden \u200badministration \u200bpretends are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-releases-new-domestic-terrorism-strategy-names-white-supremacists-anti-government-activists-biggest-threats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">threatening the Republic<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>As\u2062 Domonoske reported, Grahnholm\u2019s squad had planned to \u201cfast-charge\u201d \u2064in the suburb of\u200d Augusta, Georgia. Most normal people would probably ask again, then\u2064 try to reason with the obstructionist individual, and \u200bthen go \u2064through five stages of fury before finally getting the\u200c law \u200dinvolved.<\/p>\n<p>But just for the \u2063sake \u200cof argument, assume the family only asked once or twice to get access to the charger before\u2062 dropping the dime. That, in all likelihood, means the staffer decided that it was more important to keep the charging station \u201creserved\u201d with an internal-combustion\u2062 powered vehicle for \u200dthe Biden administration\u2019s big energy boss than it was for a family (of presumably American citizens) to\u2063 power up a vehicle with a baby inside.<\/p>\n<p>Insert former President Donald Trump\u2019s first energy secretary, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/real-green-new-deal-rick-perrys-plan-save-nuclear\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rick \u2063Perry<\/a>, a former Texas governor and\u2064 therefore doubly hated by \u200bthe establishment media, and imagine how\u2064 it would have been\u2064 treated by the liberal \u2063media \u2014 very much including NPR. (This is the \u201cnews\u201d\u2064 outlet that \u2062decided \u200cin October 2020 that the Hunter Biden laptop story would be a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NPRpubliceditor\/status\/1319281101223940096\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">waste of time<\/a> for both\u2062 its \u2063staff and its loyal liberal \u200bfollowers. It <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/npr-issues-correction-making-false-claim-us-intelligence-discredited-hunter-biden-laptop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">didn\u2019t improve<\/a> \u2064much after that \u200beither.)<\/p>\n<p>But this\u200c is\u200b Jennifer Granholm, a liberal \u200bwith <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bidens-energy-secretary-poor-people-middle-class-can-beat-inflation-buying-solar-panels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marie Antoinette aloofness<\/a> on a Potemkin\u200b tour of the Southeast, \u200cand\u200c her staff literally \u2063preventing a family from accessing a charging \u2064station to the point where the\u200b police were called.<\/p>\n<p>Now, \u200bthe\u200b interesting thing is that Granholm\u2019s pompous staffers \u2062were doing nothing \u2063illegal, according to Domonoske, but it was all probably unnecessary in\u200d the first place.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe sheriff\u2019s office couldn\u2019t do anything. It\u2019s not \u200dillegal for a non-EV to claim a charging spot in\u2063 Georgia,\u201d\u2062 she wrote. \u201cEnergy Department staff scrambled to\u200b smooth over the situation, including sending other vehicles to slower \u200bchargers, until both the frustrated family and the secretary\u2064 had room to charge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Note that the denouement did\u200b not include any of the vehicles being finished charging \u2014 only that they\u2019d been moved to \u201cslower charges.\u201d There\u2019s no\u2064 way of knowing for sure from \u200dthe sketchy reporting (quite possibly deliberately sketchy), but that\u2019s a pretty good sign that some sort of understanding could have been reached before John \u200dB.
