Wade<\/h2>\n<p>In an attempt to keep \u200dher position on abortion limits ambiguous,\u200b Vice President \u2063Kamala\u2062 Harris conceded that she and the Biden\u200c administration don\u2019t want any restrictions on ending life in the womb.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is it that you \u200dbelieve? I mean, what week of pregnancy should <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rnc-chair-condemns-biden-abortion-policy\/\" title=\"RNC chair condemns Biden abortion policy\">abortion access<\/a> be cut off?\u201d \u2062CBS\u2019 Margaret Brennan \u200basked during a Sunday exchange on \u201cFace The Nation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harris, keeping in \u200dline with the White House\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/09\/26\/bidens-position-on-abortion-is-so-extreme-the-white-house-wont-even-say-it-out-loud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">repeated refusal<\/a> to admit that it wants to codify abortion through all nine months of pregnancy,\u2062 claimed the Democrat regime simply wants to \u201crestore the protections of <em>Roe [v.] Wade<\/em>\u201d using Congress.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re not \u200ctrying to do something \u200cnew,\u201d Harris insisted, referring to Democrats\u2019 ill-named \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/117th-congress\/house-bill\/3755\/text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Women\u2019s Health Protection Act<\/a>,\u201d which,\u2064 if it\u2063 hadn\u2019t failed to pass Congress last year, would have <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/05\/11\/bipartisan-majority-rejects-radical-abortion-bill-pushed-by-senate-democrats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/roe-v-wade-in-serious-danger-as-supreme-court-hears-challenge-to-mississippi-abortion-ban\/\" title=\"Roe v. Wade In Serious Danger As Supreme Court Hears Challenge to Mississippi Abortion Ban\">codified abortion<\/a> until birth<\/a> \u200cin every state.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<p>\n      <span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\n            <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VP?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@VP<\/a> Harris calls on Congress\u200d to codify the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dems-introduce-bill-to-fund-abortions-around-the-world-with-foreign-aid\/\" title=\"Dems Introduce Bill To Fund Abortions Around The World With Foreign Aid\">abortion rights protections<\/a> of Roe v. \u200bWade, and does not\u2064 say which week of pregnancy \u2062should be the cutoff for abortion access: &#8220;We\u2019re \u200cnot trying to do anything \u200bthat did not exist before June of last year.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/S5ANQLP5dh\">pic.twitter.com\/S5ANQLP5dh<\/a>\n          <\/p>\n<p>          \u2014 Face The Nation (@FaceTheNation)\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FaceTheNation\/status\/1700885173988950108?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 10, 2023<\/a>\n        <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>      <\/span>\n    <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Brennan\u200b interrupted Harris to point out her answer was \u201cnebulous because [Roe] was about viability, which could be\u2064 anywhere between 20 to 24 weeks.\u201d Harris denied that claim.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, no, no, no, \u200cno. Let me be very clear. From \u2063day one, the president has been clear, I have been clear: we need to put\u200d back the \u200bprotections that are <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em> into\u2062 law,\u201d Harris continued. \u201cSince the \u2063Supreme Court took it,\u2064 Congress has the power and\u200c ability to pass legislation\u2063 to put those protections back in \u2062law, and Joe Biden will sign that bill. So that is what we want.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Brennan\u2062 pressed Harris on whether the legislation should be \u201cspecific\u201d about \u201cwhich week of pregnancy\u201d should serve as the cutoff\u200c for abortions, \u200dHarris repeated \u2062her spiel \u200dabout <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Brennan, clearly frustrated with Harris\u2019\u2063 refusal to answer a basic question, decided to pivot.\u2064 Instead of pointing out Harris\u2019 \u2063stubbornness or the fact that <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/14\/associated-press-poll-is-corporate-medias-latest-language-twisting-exercise-in-advancing-abortion-extremism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">most Americans<\/a> oppose Democrats\u2019 unlimited abortion for \u2063all agenda, the interviewer\u200c joined the VP in taunting Republicans for calling out Democrats\u2019 desire to legalize abortion until birth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m asking \u2064you for the specifics because Republicans say the lack of a\u200c precise date in cutting it off \u2014\u2062 you know this \u2014 they say that allows Democrats to perform abortions up \u2062until birth, which is \u200bstatistically not accurate,\u201d Brennan said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s ridiculous, and it\u2019s \u2062a mischaracterization of the point,\u201d \u2063Harris retorted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI understand \u200cthat,\u201d Brennan replied.<\/p>\n<p>Brennan\u2019s sympathy is not\u2063 only scornful, it\u2019s completely unfounded.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ICU1010\/status\/1694547123402879440?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1694547123402879440%7Ctwgr%5Ee72ca402f401166381d51a7250929052fe3368fe%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fthefederalist.com%2F2023%2F08%2F24%2Fjen-psaki-says-no-one-supports-abortion-until-birth-but-she-and-other-democrats-support-exactly-that%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Democrats \u2063all across the nation<\/a> \u2062promote abortion\u2062 until birth. Nearly a quarter \u200cof U.S. <a href=\"https:\/\/worldpopulationreview.com\/state-rankings\/late-term-abortion-laws-by-state\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">states<\/a> have laws or constitutional amendments that guarantee \u2063abortions during any moment in pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>Even Harris is on record supporting legislation that would have \u2062effectively\u2063 allowed for the murder \u2063of unborn \u2062babies right before birth as long as \u2063a \u2062doctor claimed\u2062 \u201ca risk to [her] life or health\u201d \u2014 a \u200cwide-sweeping definition that could easily be twisted to accommodate\u200d a woman\u2019s desire to abort for any reason.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<p>\n      <span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\n            <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VP?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@VP<\/a> \u2062 Harris: &#8220;With \u200dtwo more seats, we can codify Roe\u200d v. She asked if\u200b Harris agreed with Democrats\u2019\u2062 standard deflection, \u201cAbortion should be \u200da private matter between a woman and her doctor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIs\u2063 that what you believe as well?\u201d Brennan prodded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe\u2063 that we should\u2064 put the protections of <em>Roe\u200b v. Wade<\/em> into law, and the \u200cway that will happen is if we have a United States Congress, who, regardless \u2063of their personal view for themselves or their family \u200bwould agree that the women of America should be trusted to make decisions about \u200btheir life and their body based on what they know to be in their best interest. It\u2019s that simple,\u201d Harris said.<\/p>\n<p>When Brennan noted \u2064earlier\u2062 in the segment that Democrats in Congress currently don\u2019t have the votes to legalize abortion, Harris signaled that the Biden administration is relying on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kamala-harris-wont-say-which-abortion-limits-she-supports-because-democrats-dont-want-any\/\" title=\"Kamala Harris mum on abortion limits as Democrats oppose any.\">heavily funded ballot measure campaigns<\/a> in \u200cred \u200cstates \u200bto execute its abortion agenda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s why we have elections.\u200c And\u200d that\u2019s why we are\u2064 seeing around this country\u200c that when this issue is on the ballot, from Kansas to California, people vote in favor of upholding basic freedoms,\u201d Harris said. \u201cThe vast majority of Americans \u2062agree \u200cthat government should not \u2064be\u2063 making this decision for the women of America.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>Jordan Boyd is a staff writer at The Federalist and co-producer of The Federalist Radio Hour.
