(Photo by Mario Tama\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>OAN\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oann.com\/tag\/james-meyers\">James Meyers<\/a><\/h2>\n<h3>11:23\u2063 AM \u2013 Monday,\u200d September 11, 2023<\/h3>\n<p>On\u200c Monday, Disney and Charter \u2064communications came to an agreement that ended an ongoing dispute\u2064 regarding the company\u2019s decision \u200cto black out\u200d ESPN and ABC to\u2062 over \u206415 \u2063million viewers, just hours before the \u2063kickoff of \u201cMonday Night Football.\u201d <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\" style=\"min-width: 320px; min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>Charter, which operates Spectrum cable, came to the new\u2063 agreement over carriage fees after an\u2064 almost two-week\u2063 standoff between Disney and them.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the \u200cnew \u2064deal will\u2063 allow Charter \u200bto\u200c offer Disney+ and\u200c ESPN+ to its customers in exchange for\u2063 paying higher carriage fees for\u200c Disney\u2019s channels. Customers who purchase the Spectrum \u200cTV Select package \u200coption will receive the Disney+ basic advertising. <\/p>\n<p>ESPN+ \u200cwill be made \u200cavailable\u200b to Spectrum TV Select\u2064 Plus subscribers and the ESPN flagship \u2064direct-to-consumer service will also be available for Spectrum TV Select subscribers when it is \u2064launched in\u2062 the near future. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>Charter representatives commented on the new \u2062options, saying it \u2063will maintain \u201cflexibility\u201d to\u200c offer \u201ca\u2062 range of video\u200b packages at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/disney-charter-agree-on-new-deal-to-end-blackout-ahead-of-monday-night-football\/\" title=\"Disney and Charter reach new agreement, ending blackout before 'Monday Night Football'.\">varying price points based<\/a> upon different customer viewing preferences.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the Hollywood \u2064Reporter\u200b outlet, multiple Disney-owned channels will no longer\u200d be\u2063 carried by Spectrum, including Freeform,\u200d Disney Junior, \u2062Disney XD, FXX and \u200cNat Geo.<\/p>\n<p>The \u200dCEOs\u2063 of both\u2064 companies issued a\u2064 joint\u200b statement on the new agreement. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThis deal recognizes both the continued value of linear television \u200cand the growing popularity of streaming services while addressing the evolving \u200cneeds \u2063of our consumers.
