The legislation \u200bwas later <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/newly-amended-california-bill-punish-parents-refusing-affirm-childs-gender-identity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">amended<\/a> in June to declare\u200c non-affirming parents liable\u2062 for\u200c child abuse.<\/p>\n<p>Republican state Sen. Scott Wilk bluntly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/ca-rep-warns-parents-gender-affirming-law-love-children-flee-california\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recommended<\/a> \u200b parents &#8220;flee&#8221; the state over the amendment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In the\u2064 past when we&#8217;ve had\u200c these discussions\u200d and I&#8217;ve seen parental rights atrophy, I&#8217;ve encouraged people to keep\u2064 fighting,&#8221; Wilk said in June. &#8220;I&#8217;ve changed my mind \u2062on that,&#8221; Wilk added. &#8220;If you love your children, you need to flee California. You need to flee.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Wilk said he would leave the state himself at the end of his term.<\/p>\n<p>Washington Free Beacon California Correspondent\u2064 Susannah \u2064Luthi\u2063 Taylor <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/california\/california-bill-would-punish-parents-who-dont-affirm-their-childs-gender-identity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">highlighted<\/a> the law&#8217;s ambiguous language, opening the door to broad interpretation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The California\u2064 bill does not define &#8216;affirmation,&#8217; leaving\u2063 it unclear\u200b if a parent would be required to support a child&#8217;s desire to socially transition or receive \u200cmedical sex-change treatments,&#8221; Taylor wrote. &#8220;Nor does the bill\u2063 make distinctions\u2063 based on \u2063a child&#8217;s age \u200cor mental\u2063 health record.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The \u2063legislation is now headed for Gov. Gavin Newsom&#8217;s\u2063 desk, who is expected to sign it.<\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s latest law \u200con transgenderism follows a cascade of state \u2062interference in parental rights to challenge a child&#8217;s desire \u2064to attempt changing his or her gender.<\/p>\n<p>In August, California Democrat Attorney\u200c General\u200d Rob Bonta <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/30\/california-ag-wages-legal-war-to-hide-kids-transgender-pursuits-from-parents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sued<\/a> the Chino Valley Unified School District over new rules compelling teachers and administrators to\u200c notify parents of changes in \u2063pronoun use, sports participation, or bathroom\u2064 assignments.<\/p>\n<p>A\u2062 local judge in San Bernadino temporarily <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kcra.com\/article\/judge-halts-southern-california-district-policy-transgender-gender-nonconfirming\/45025574\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">suspended<\/a> the district&#8217;s new policy last week while litigation remains underway.\u200c The\u2062 next hearing is scheduled for Oct. 13.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;San Bernardino Superior Court&#8217;s decision to\u2064 issue a \u200btemporary restraining order\u2064 rightfully upholds the state rights of our\u2063 LGBTQ+ student community and protects kids from harm by immediately\u200d halting the board&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/california-attorney-general-investigating-chino-school-district-over-gender-parental-notification-policy\/\" title=\"CA Attorney General probes Chino School District for gender parental notification policy.\">forced outing policy<\/a>,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/oag.ca.gov\/news\/press-releases\/attorney-general-bonta-san-bernardino-superior-court%E2%80%99s-decision-protects\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-ag-barr-authorizes-federal-prosecutors-to-pursue-substantial-allegations-of-voting-irregularities-before-2020-election-is-certified\/\" title=\"BREAKING: AG Barr Authorizes Federal Prosecutors to Pursue \"Substantial Allegations\" of Voting Irregularities Before 2020 Election is Certified\">attorney general<\/a>. &#8220;While this fight is far from over, today&#8217;s ruling takes \u200ca significant step towards ensuring the physical, mental, and emotional \u200cwell-being \u200bof \u2064transgender and\u2063 gender-nonconforming students.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Last fall, Governor Newsom \u2064also\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/09\/30\/newsom-signs-bill-to-let-california-strip-gender-confused-teens-from-parents-even-when-they-live-in-other-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">signed<\/a> a bill to &#8220;offer refuge&#8221; for \u200dout-of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/california-lawmakers-vote-to-remove-kids-from-any-parents-who-dont-support-severing-their-genitals\/\" title=\"California lawmakers vote to remove children from parents who oppose genital mutilation.\">-state minors seeking trans medical\u2062 interventions<\/a> in the \u200dstate without\u2063 parental consent. \u2064In another assault on parental rights, the new law mandates that doctors hide children&#8217;s medical \u200binformation related to &#8220;gender identity&#8221; from \u200bparents.<\/p>\n<p>Contrary to Democrat claims of protecting children, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/gender\/commentary\/does-gender-affirming-care-trans-kids-actually-prevent-suicide-heres-what-the\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">multiple<\/a> studies <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC3043071\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">show<\/a> \u200d easing access to adolescent medical interventions in pursuit of \u2064transgenderism increases the \u200brisk of suicide.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/top-figures-weigh-in-on-tragic-suicide-of-2019-miss-usa-cheslie-kryst-check-in-on-your-friends-and-family\/\" title=\"Top Figures Weigh In On Tragic Suicide Of 2019 Miss USA Cheslie Kryst: \u2018Check In On Your Friends And Family\u2019\">national suicide hotline<\/a> is 1-800-273-8255.
