Michelle Lujan Grisham that\u2063 banned legal \u2062gun \u200downers from carrying their weapons in and around Albuquerque.\u200c However, a \u200ctop prosecutor says he wants nothing to do with the\u200d edict.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, Lujan Grisham issued an order\u2064 that had the effect of banning individuals from carrying guns in Albuquerque and Bernalillo County for at least 30 days. Lujan \u200dGrisham, a Democrat, said she issued her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/new-mexico-governor-floats-arrest-conceal-carry-holders-power-hungry-emergency-order\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emergency health order<\/a> in response to \u200drecent \u2063shootings that included the death of \u200dan 11-year-old boy.<\/p>\n<p>Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman said Saturday that he, as with \u200dAlbuquerque Mayor\u200c Tim Keller and Police Chief Harold Medina, \u200bwould not enforce the\u2063 order, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/albuquerque-guns-governor-concealed-carry-firearms-3fbe91683934057fe3036ccf187a7f1c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Associated Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cAs an officer of the\u200c court, I cannot and will\u2063 not enforce something\u200b that is clearly unconstitutional,\u201d<\/strong> he said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThis office will\u200c continue to focus on criminals of any age that use guns in the commission of \u2063a crime,\u201d<\/strong> he continued.<\/p>\n<p>Bernalillo County\u2064 Sheriff \u200dJohn Allen said \u200che is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/democrat-governor-facing-calls-impeachment-musk-attack-2a\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">queasy<\/a> about the \u200border.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cI am wary of placing \u2062my\u2062 deputies in positions that \u200ccould lead to \u200dcivil liability conflicts as well\u2062 as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/lawmakers-to-advance-tiktok-bill-us-house-speaker-says\/\" title=\"Lawmakers To Advance TikTok Bill, US House Speaker Says\">potential risks posed<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrat-governor-facing-calls-of-impeachment-from-musk-after-attack-on-2a\/\" title=\"Democrat Governor faces impeachment calls from Musk over 2A attack.\">prohibiting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/california-sheriffs-tell-newsom-they-wont-enforce-covid-curfew\/\" title=\"California Sheriffs Tell Newsom They Won't Enforce COVID Curfew\">law-abiding citizens<\/a><\/a> from their constitutional right to self-defense,\u201d<\/strong> he said.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/albuquerque-da-refusing-to-enforce-governors-suspension-of-2nd-amendment-rights-clearly-unconstitutional\/\" title=\"Albuquerque DA rejects Governor's unconstitutional suspension of 2nd Amendment rights.\">law enforcement officials backed<\/a> away from the order, the first lawsuit was filed against it.<\/p>\n<p>The National Association for Gun Rights and Foster Haines, a member\u200b who lives in Albuquerque, filed in U.S. District\u200b Court \u200ccalling for the order to be immediately blocked.<\/p>\n<p>Dudley Brown, founder and \u200dpresident of the group, \u2063said \u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/emergency-health-order-suspends-2nd-amendment-rights-citizens-effective-immediately\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lujan Grisham<\/a> shattered\u200d the Constitution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cShe needs\u200d to be held accountable \u200bfor stripping \u200bthe God-given rights of\u2063 millions away with the\u200c stroke of \u2063a \u2063pen,\u201d<\/strong> he said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Two \u200cNew Mexico lawmakers have called for the impeachment of\u200d commie gun-grabber Michelle Lujan Grisham:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur governor called for open season on law-abiding citizens by subverting the \u2062state and federal Constitutions. Gun violence \u2063is \u2063an epidemic.
