Multiple <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/biden-age-poll-trump-2024-620e0a5cfa0039a6448f607c17c7f23e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">surveys<\/a> have shown that fact alone\u200b is enough for\u200b most Democratic voters to question\u200b whether he\u2019s fit to run for \u2062the presidency a second time.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI think Biden is\u200b too old. We need \u2063someone younger in office. I\u2019m glad\u2062 he beat Trump, but he\u200c even said\u200c he was \u200ca \u2018transition candidate\u2019 at the beginning,\u201d \u200cDemocratic voter Janet Rodriguez of Seattle, Washington, told The Epoch Times. \u200b\u201cI took that to mean he was not going to run again. I don\u2019t think that\u2019s a bad thing \u200bbut it\u2019s the reality [due to Biden\u2019s age],\u201d\u200d Mr. Wildermuth told The Epoch Times.  \u201cBut \u2064then she disappeared as soon as \u2064they won, like \u200bany VP, but\u2063 [the White House] also \u2062probably\u200b didn&#8217;t want people thinking about that too much.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"shortcode post-related-videos\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"lazyload-placeholder\"><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>During an <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CBSNews\/status\/1699859813834911989\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interview<\/a> with CBS News, Ms. Harris addressed \u2063concerns about President Biden\u2019s age saying she was prepared to\u200c be\u2064 commander-in-chief.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cYes I am if necessary, but Joe Biden is gonna be fine,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>But skeptical political observers like Jon Caldara, president \u2064of the Independence Institute (a free\u200d market think tank \u200bin Denver, Colorado) don\u2019t necessarily believe that\u2019s going to be the case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all should be \u2062concerned about \u2064Biden\u2019s age. This is a man who is the\u2062 leader\u200b of the free world\u2064 who carries the nuclear football, \u2062and \u200che is \u200dobviously\u200c dealing\u2014not just with\u200c physical issues\u2014but with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fox-news-peter-doocy-says-theres-something-he-cant-explain-about-bidens-trip-to-maui\/\" title=\"Fox News' Peter Doocy puzzled by Biden's Maui trip.\">deteriorating mental acuity<\/a> and \u2064possible \u200bdementia,\u201d Mr. Caldara told The Epoch Times. \u201cWe all\u200d should be scared about this and \u200clet\u2019s say what \u200beveryone is thinking, the person in the number two spot is just as scary. No one wants to see [Ms. Harris] as president she is as unpopular as Hillary [Clinton].\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. \u2062Caldara believes that former \u200bPresident Donald Trump\u200c could win the general election against President Biden if the president wins the Democratic Primary.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Democrats have a ridiculous problem on their hands and it\u2019s really delicious to see.  The whole strategy that the \u2063Democrats have of making sure that\u2063 Trump is the nominee \u2026 could really backfire on them,\u201d he \u2062said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>In a general election, an average\u200b of national polls from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Real Clear Politics<\/a> show President Biden narrowly \u200dleads\u2064 President\u200b Trump by 0.4 percentage points. And a recent shock <a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2023\/09\/07\/politics\/cnn-poll-joe-biden-headwinds\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">poll from CNN<\/a> shows President Trump beating President Biden\u200c by 1 percent if the\u2063 presidential election were held today, the \u2064same poll shows former governor of South Carolina\u2063 Gov. Niki Haley \u2064besting him\u2063 by 6 percentage points.<\/p>\n<h2>Biden Supporters<\/h2>\n<p>Despite the dismal poll\u200b numbers\u2062 for President Biden, he still <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/majority-of-republicans-not-worried-about-trump-electability-in-face-of-indictments-poll\/\" title=\"Poll: Most Republicans unconcerned about Trump's electability despite indictments.\">maintains strong support<\/a> among stalwarts within the \u200bDemocrat Party.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cJoe Biden will be the\u200b Democratic \u200dnominee and\u200d he will defeat Donald \u2062Trump by a wider margin than in 2020,\u201d Matt Angle, Democratic strategist and founder of the\u200c Texas Lonestar\u2064 Project, told The Epoch Times. \u201cDemocrats by nature fret\u2063 and worry and argue the perfect against the good. The polls reflect that and not much more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The general election is \u2063still more than a year away and\u200c Biden \u200dsupporter\u2063 Tiffany Lord of Phoenix, Arizona, \u200csays anything can happen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBetween now and Nov. 5, 2024,\u200b a lot can change as we saw \u2064when Hillary ran against Trump,\u201d \u2062Ms. Lord told \u200cThe Epoch Times. \u201cI don\u2019t put a lot\u200b of \u200bfaith in these polls this far out. Is he\u200c old? Yes, but he is the \u2064only one who can\u2064 bring \u2062the [Democratic] party together and beat Donald Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As\u200b President Biden has made history by \u200dbecoming \u2063the oldest \u200dsitting president in U.S. history,\u2064 Trump also has a place in the record books as the only former president to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/belarusian-authorities-raid-homes-and-offices-of-journalists-and-activists\/\" title=\"Belarusian Authorities Raid Homes And Offices Of Journalists And Activists\">face criminal charges<\/a>, with 91\u200c charges against him in four jurisdictions.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>\u201cTrump has more\u2064 baggage than Biden\u200c does,\u201d Ms. Lord said. \u201cI don\u2019t care about Hunter [Biden\u2019s] problems I care about Biden beating\u200d Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Third-Party\u2063 Options<\/h2>\n<p>President Biden\u2064 and President Trump\u200d both suffer from high unfavorability ratings \u2064(<a href=\"https:\/\/s.wsj.net\/public\/resources\/documents\/WSJ_Poll_Aug_2023.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pdf<\/a>) which could potentially give a third-party candidate \u200ba significant boost in the general election if the two were to win their party&#8217;s nomination, according to Angela McArdle Chair of the Libertarian \u2064National Committee.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cEven Democrats are finally admitting the emperor wears no clothes, President Biden\u2019s dwindling support with\u200b Democratic voters \u2064is encouraging,\u201d Ms. McArdle \u200btold The Epoch Times. \u201cIt seems like third parties might be gaining more traction with younger voters and they might start\u200d giving us \u200dserious consideration.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Joe Biden&#8217;s re-election bid is marred by a crisis among Democrat-leaning voters.
