Paul\u2019s Issue About Sex Adjustments For Children\">cross-sex hormones<\/a>, \u200bor transgender surgeries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The initiatives almost certainly will face legal objections, including from California Attorney General \u200bRob Bonta. \u200cOn Sept. 3, he <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AGRobBonta\/status\/1698450218579063151\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">posted<\/a> on X in response to \u2062the initiatives, \u201cAcross the \u2062nation\u2063 and even in California, a wave of\u200d anti-LGBTQ \u200battacks threaten\u2063 to isolate, discriminate against, and harm our transgender and gender\u200c nonconforming youth. As AG, I have a simple \u200bmessage for all\u2063 LGBTQ students: CA \u200cDOJ has your \u200bback.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<h3>Legal Consequences<\/h3>\n<p>There was a <a href=\"https:\/\/content.govdelivery.com\/accounts\/CAOAG\/bulletins\/36e1784\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">link<\/a> to his weekly newsletter of the same date, where he added, \u201cWhether we\u2019re fighting to stop forced outing policies in schools, \u2063upholding every\u2062 student\u2019s right to education,\u2064 or defending inclusive curricula, I\u2019m committed to \u2062using every \u2062tool in our toolbox to ensure transgender and \u2062gender-nonconforming\u200c youth\u202fare\u202fprotected, their\u202frights\u202fare safeguarded, and\u202fthey have\u2062 access to all \u2063the\u202fresources\u202fto which\u202fthey are\u202fentitled.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The newsletter included this\u200c photo:<\/p>\n<div>\n<figure style=\"width:456px\" class=\"aligncenter\"><figcaption>(California Department of Justice\/Screenshot via The Epoch Times)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<h2>Showdown at the\u2063 Public\u200d School Corral<\/h2>\n<p>Clearly there\u2019s a \u2064showdown on \u200call \u2064these issues. A return \u200csalvo\u200d to \u200bMr. \u200cBonta\u2019s \u200coriginal tweet\u2063 came\u2063 in \u200da <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WillSwaim\/status\/1698515724472336474\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post<\/a> on \u200cX from Will \u2064Swaim: \u201cParents\u200b have already successfully sued school districts \u200dfor\u200d practicing medicine without \u200da license and for lying\u200c to parents about their child&#8217;s gender \u2064confusion. Trial attorneys will pile in, lured by the promise of millions in contingency fees. \u200cInsurers will tighten their underwriting to\u2064 account for district deception\u2014leaving districts that followed \u200d@RobBonta&#8217;s advice exposed \u200bto\u2063 devastating financial attacks. His policy will evaporate\u2014as\u200c will Rob Bonta.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In \u200cCalifornia, \u2064the\u2062 courts now \u200bare packed \u200dwith\u2063 activist leftist judges. Yet\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/three-ballot-initiatives-heat-up-california-school-wars\/\" title=\"California School Wars Intensify with Three Ballot Initiatives\">medical liability insurance laws<\/a> are a specialty with their own rules, albeit operating in the overall system, especially the appeals courts. But as Mr. Swaim noted, \u2063just the presence of \u200bthousands of lawsuits would lead insurers to raise \u200crates, with the cost \u200bpicked up by the school\u200d districts \u200band, \u200bultimately, the taxpayers.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<h3>A Landmark\u200c Case<\/h3>\n<p>We have a good example from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/us\/mom-daughter-awarded-100000-in-landmark-secret-gender-transition-case-5485604\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this week<\/a>: \u201cA California school district that was sued over allegations that teachers and staff at Buena Vista Middle School in\u2062 Salinas coached an \u200d11-year-old girl to socially transition to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mother-daughter-to-receive-100000-settlement-in-landmark-secret-gender-transition-case\/\" title=\"Mother and daughter to get 0k settlement in groundbreaking gender transition case.\">male gender identity settled<\/a> with \u2064the girl\u200b and\u2062 her \u200bmother for $100,000.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>Many\u2063 are calling this \u2063a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/video\/6336190736112\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">landmark \u2064case<\/a>, saying it will\u200c make other school districts across the country\u2063 think twice before transitioning kids behind their parents\u2019 backs.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>Meg Kilgannon, Family Research Council\u2019s senior fellow for education studies,\u200d told the Washington Stand, \u201cThis\u2064 is a great development in the\u2062 overall move to stop mistreating\u2063 children based on gender identity declarations \u200cat school. Mr. Bonta\u200d actually was fair on that \u200bfor last year\u2019s initiatives.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>That\u2019s\u2063 a contrast with his predecessor. As the San Francisco Chronicle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfchronicle.com\/business\/article\/Prop-22-backers-sue-California-AG-over-15444429.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> in July 2020, \u201cBackers of Proposition 22, a November\u2064 referendum seeking \u200cto partially overturn California\u2019s \u200cAB5 gig-work \u200blaw \u200dand keep Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Postmates and Instacart workers in the state as \u200bindependent\u200c contractors, sued Attorney General Xavier Becerra on Wednesday. They charged that he wrote an inaccurate label, title\u200b and\u2062 summary of their measure\u2064 \u2018infected with the contagion of bias and \u200chostility.\u2019\u201d Becerra is the current secretary\u200d of Health and Human Services.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>The courts <a href=\"https:\/\/calmatters.org\/politics\/2020\/08\/california-proposition-descriptions-lawsuits-attorney-general\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rejected<\/a> \u2063the claim. But Prop. 22 went on to\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/California_Proposition_22,_App-Based_Drivers_as_Contractors_and_Labor_Policies_Initiative_(2020)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">win<\/a> anyway, 59 percent to 41 percent.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>There\u200c have been calls over the years\u2064 to shift the writing of the definitions \u200dto \u200cthe \u200cnonpartisan state \u2063Fair Political Practices Commission, which monitors election\u2062 campaign spending. Everyone understands the future depends on what kids\u200b are taught\u2014and on what they\u2019re subjected\u2064 to outside academics. We\u2019re long past the innocent hijinks of the 1950s portrayed in the old \u201cHappy Days\u201d TV show.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>What Democrats\u200b risk is destroying their coalition. \u200dBlacks, Hispanics, and Asians actually \u200bare more conservative on\u200d this and other \u201csocial issues,\u201d \u2064despite\u200b most\u200b voting Democrat, than are\u2062 whites in\u200d general. Take the 2008 vote for <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2008_California_Proposition_8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Proposition 8<\/a>, which banned government \u200crecognition\u200d of same-sex \u201cmarriage\u201d (until the 2015 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oyez.org\/cases\/2014\/14-556\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Obergefell<\/a> Supreme Court \u200bdecision \u2063threw out all\u200c such \u2062bans). \u2064Right after the election, AP\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20120917230950\/http:\/www.ktvu.com\/news\/news\/exit-poll-shows-blacks-hispanics-overwhelmingly-ba\/nKXyL\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>, \u201cExit poll data showed\u2064 seven in 10 black voters and more than half \u200dof Latino\u2064 voters backed the ballot initiative, while whites and Asians were split.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThough blacks and\u2063 Latinos combined make up less \u2064than one-third \u2063of\u2063 California&#8217;s electorate, their opposition to same-sex marriage appeared to tip the balance. \u2062Both groups decisively backed Obama regardless of\u200d their position on the\u2062 initiative.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>And Asians were the vi<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mess with kids, face consequences.
