This \u200cruling \u200cspecifically targeted officials like White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and Surgeon General Vivek \u2063Murthy.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The court&#8217;s\u200d decision explicitly stated, &#8220;Defendants, and their employees and agents, shall take no actions, formal\u200c or informal, directly or indirectly, to coerce or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/appeals-court-rules-biden-officials-violated-first-amendment-in-social-media-censorship-case\/\" title=\"Appeals Court: Biden Officials Broke First Amendment in Social Media Censorship\">significantly encourage social-media companies<\/a> to remove, delete, suppress, or \u2064reduce, including through altering their algorithms, posted social-media content containing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/roger-stone-pleads-the-fifth-in-deposition-before-jan-6-committee\/\" title=\"Roger Stone pleads the Fifth in deposition before Jan. 6 committee\">protected free speech<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Recent documents released by Congress revealed that a White House official \u2064had asked Facebook to promote legacy \u200doutlets and suppress The Daily Wire&#8217;s reach, aligning\u200c with\u200d the administration&#8217;s COVID vaccine agenda.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The appeals court\u2063 ruling, however, was not as expansive as the original ruling by U.S. Judge Terry A. Doughty. It did not uphold injunctions against the HHS, the Census\u200c Bureau, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In a meeting with Facebook, White House Digital Director Rob Flaherty expressed concerns about the impact \u200dof changing algorithms to favor \u200cauthoritative news sources over outlets like The Daily Wire. Flaherty was one of the defendants affected by the injunction.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden\u200d administration faced \u2064lawsuits from several states, including Louisiana and Missouri, who claimed that its actions constituted &#8220;the most egregious \u2064violations of the First Amendment\u2064 in \u200bthe history of the \u2062United States of America.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Reactions to the Court&#8217;s Decision<\/h3>\n<p>Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey celebrated the ruling, stating, &#8220;The First Amendment remains intact.
