per CNN.<\/p>\n<p>According to the\u200d outlet, Mr. Isaacson wrote that \u2064Mr. Musk&#8217;s \u2062decision was driven by the fear that Russia would see this as a \u2062major escalation and respond with nuclear strikes.<\/p>\n<p>As \u200dnews \u200dthat Mr. Musk had secretly instructed \u200chis engineers to deactivate Starlink&#8217;s satellite\u2064 communications\u2064 network during a major Ukrainian offensive\u200c began to circulate \u2063online, Mykhailo Podolyak, advisor to\u2063 Ukraine&#8217;s president, took to X to express scathing criticism.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy not allowing Ukrainian drones to destroy part of the Russian military\u200b fleet via Starlink \u2064interference, Elon Musk allowed this fleet\u200b to fire Kalibr missiles\u200d at Ukrainian\u200d cities,\u201d Mr. Podolyak wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a result, civilians, children are being \u200dkilled. Acknowledge Your Errors.'\">war-torn \u2062country<\/a>, including \u2063hundreds \u2064of \u2064hospitals and clinics, it also served as a link to\u200d enable Ukrainian military drones \u200bto target Russian\u2063 tanks \u200dand \u2064positions more effectively.<\/p>\n<div class=\"my-5\">\n<p>A Ukrainian \u2063soldier identified as Dima, whose last name was withheld\u2064 for \u200csecurity reasons, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dpatrikarakos\/status\/1519303470192410624?s=20&#038;t=4wYRc2yul3LOyqIBnm9iuQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told journalist<\/a> David Patrikarakos \u2063that \u201cStarlink is what changed the war in\u200c Ukraine\u2019s favor. Russia went out of its way to blow up all our comms.
