Greg Abbott to\u200d remove a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-democrats-demand-probe-into-family-separations-at-texas-border\/\" title=\"House Democrats call for investigation into family separations at Texas border.\">floating border barrier<\/a> his administration deployed on\u2064 the Rio Grande.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/supreme-court-fast-tracks-challenges-to-texas-abortion-law\/\" title=\"Supreme Court Fast-Tracks Challenges to Texas Abortion Law\">appeals court issued<\/a> \u2063an <a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.ca5.215588\/gov.uscourts.ca5.215588.29.1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">administrative stay<\/a> to the order as the case makes its way through \u200dthe court system.<\/p>\n<p>In \u200dJuly, Texas <a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.txwd.1172749163\/gov.uscourts.txwd.1172749163.50.0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">began installing<\/a> a 1,000-yard barrier of floating buoys on the Rio Grande marking the boundary between \u200cthe United \u200cStates and Mexico\u2064 in order to deter migrants \u2064from entering \u200bthe state illegally.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration filed a lawsuit\u2063 against\u200c Abbott that same month, \u2063arguing \u200dthat the governor had failed to \u2063obtain the federal\u2063 government\u2019s\u2062 permission to place the buoys.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge David\u2063 Ezra \u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-federal-judge-issues-42-page-ruling-floating-border-barriers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">directed Texas<\/a> to remove the barriers \u200cfrom the river by Sept. 15.<\/p>\n<p>Ezra wrote in his\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.txwd.1172749163\/gov.uscourts.txwd.1172749163.50.0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">order<\/a> that Abbott \u200bneeded\u2064 permission to place the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/major-oil-spill-off-southern-calif-coast-kills-wildlife-closes-beaches\/\" title=\"Major oil spill off Southern Calif. coast kills wildlife, closes beaches\">floating barriers<\/a> \u200din the Rio \u200bGrande because they obstructed\u2064 a \u2062U.S. navigable waterway in violation of federal law.<\/p>\n<p>The judge also said the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/federal-appeals-court-allows-texas-rio-grande-floating-barriers-for-now-under-under-emergency-stay\/\" title=\"Federal Appeals Court grants emergency stay, allowing Texas Rio Grande floating barriers for now.\">water barrier raised international relations\u200d issues<\/a> with \u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mexico-unveils-monumental-snarky-message-us-citizens-want-border-closed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mexico<\/a>,\u200b which are in the purview of the federal government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMexico vigorously denounces the\u2063 presence of the barrier, expressing its\u2064 hope for expeditious removal of the barrier as the first topic at the August 10, 2023, meeting between Foreign Secretary Alicia Barcena \u200dand Secretary of State Anthony Blinken,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<h3>Do you support Abbott&#8217;s floating border barrier?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Yes<\/li>\n<li>No<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Completing this poll entitles you to The \u2062Western Journal news updates free of \u2062charge.
