He very\u200c well might not, and his job \u200dwould be passed over to \u2064the \u2064inept Kamala Harris.<\/p>\n<p>Harris is \u2064ready to take the ball and run with it, \u2064even if she doesn\u2019t\u2062 know where\u200c she\u2019s going.<\/p>\n<p>In \u200dan \u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/kamala-harris-biden-re-election-prepared-to-step-into-role-president-if-necessary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interview<\/a> with Harris on CBS News\u2019\u2062 \u201cFace the Nation,\u201d Margaret Brennan \u200bnoted that two-thirds of Democrats believe Biden is too old to run for re-election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAre \u2062you prepared to be commander in\u2064 chief?\u201d Brennan \u2063asked.<\/p>\n<p>Harris \u200dsmiled and answered, \u201cYes, I am, if necessary.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u201cYes I am,\u2064 if \u200dnecessary.\u201d Vice President\u200d Kamala Harris is asked if she\u2019s\u200c prepared to become the\u2064 president. (Video: \u2064CBS) \u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/xWeRF2Q87e\">pic.twitter.com\/xWeRF2Q87e<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014\u200d Mike\u2064 Sington (@MikeSington)\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MikeSington\/status\/1699815591929168320?\">September 7, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>She went on to say that\u200c Biden\u2019s presidency\u2063 has been \u201ctransformative\u201d and that \u200cAmericans\u200b \u201cwant a \u200bleader\u2064 who actually gets things done.\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>The problem, \u2063of course, is that \u200cHarris doesn\u2019t have much of a track record of actually getting things done.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/2023\/01\/17\/kamala-harris-is-a-flop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reason<\/a>, she has been tasked with tackling \u200bissues ranging from abortion to water policy. \u201cBut she \u200dhasn\u2019t managed to make her work on \u2063any of it matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t even need\u200c to get into \u2062her \u2064disastrous turn\u2064 as\u200b Biden\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-harris-telling-response-reporter-asks-border-crisis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">border czar<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harris should be a\u200c rock star on the left. But she\u2019s not. A February <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/02\/06\/us\/politics\/kamala-harris-vice-presidenct-legacy.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York \u200cTimes<\/a> \u2062headline \u200bread, \u201cKamala Harris Is Trying to Define Her Vice\u2062 Presidency. Even Her Allies Are Tired of Waiting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And they\u2019re still waiting.<\/p>\n<p>In \u200dJune, an NBC \u2062News <a href=\"https:\/\/s3.documentcloud.org\/documents\/23858265\/230169-nbc-june-2023-poll_625-first-release.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">poll<\/a> found \u2064Harris\u2019 approval rating \u200dunderwater at 32 percent. The negative responses came in at \u206449\u200d percent, with 10 percent \u201csomewhat negative\u201d and a whopping 39 percent \u2063\u201cvery \u2062negative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to \u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/administration\/4069023-poll-kamala-harris-sets-record-low-for-vice-president-net-favorability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hill<\/a>, that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/poll-shows-house-republicans-leader-kevin-mccarthys-popularity-among-gop-reaches-a-high-point\/\" title=\"Poll shows House Republicans Leader Kevin McCarthy\u2019s popularity among GOP reaches a high point\">net favorability rating<\/a> of -17 \u200dwas the \u200clowest for a \u200dvice president\u2064 in the \u2064history of \u2063the poll.<\/p>\n<p>Harris\u2019 unpopularity has turned \u200cher into a massive political liability.<\/p>\n<p>John Morgan, a prominent Democratic fundraiser, is concerned about\u200b the\u2064 Republican argument \u2014 notably put forward \u200dby\u2064 presidential candidate\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/nikki-haley-predicts-biden-will-die-says-dems-really-voting-harris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nikki Haley<\/a> \u2014 that a vote for Biden in 2024 \u200bis really \u200ba vote for a President Harris.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat will be in my \u200dopinion one\u200d of \u2063the \u200bmost <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrat-insiders-admit-theyve-lost-hope-in-vp-harris\/\" title=\"Democrat Insiders Admit They've Lost Hope in VP Harris\">hard-hitting arguments<\/a> against Biden,\u201d Morgan said, according to the\u2062 Times. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t take \u2064a genius to say,\u2064 \u2018Look, with his age, we have to really\u2064 think about this.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t think of\u2062 one thing she\u2019s done except stay out of\u2063 the way\u200b and\u2064 stand beside him at certain \u2062ceremonies,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>It might be\u200b time \u2062for a reality check. But it\u200d doesn\u2019t seem Harris is\u200d capable of that, either.<\/p>\n<p>In the CBS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/kamala-harris-pushes-back-on-gop-criticism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interview<\/a>, Haris said the criticisms of her were \u201cnot new\u201d and that the Biden administration has made\u200b good on its\u200c goals.<\/p>\n<p>If the goal was to\u2062 seriously\u2063 undermine the economy, make the \u2062U.S. look weak on \u200dthe world stage and intensify the\u2063 culture wars, then, yes, the Biden administration has made good on that goal.<\/p>\n<p>If, on \u2062the other\u200d hand, \u2062the \u200dgoal was to \u201cbring America together,\u201d as\u200d Biden claimed in his \u2064inaugural\u200d address,\u200b it has been\u200d a \u2064dismal failure.<\/p>\n<p>Now there\u2019s a project\u2064 Harris would excel at \u2014 failure.
