However, it seems that the network has not yet finalized the event with his campaign.<\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;Townhall with <\/span><span>@CNN <\/span>on\u2064 Tuesday, Sept\u2064 12 in New York City,&#8221; Ramaswamy\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/vivekgramaswamy\/status\/1697608276991459616?s=46&#038;t=lxP-LgVB4bk62H8TBasC3Q\">posted<\/a> \u200d on X\u2063 Sept. 1. &#8220;We \u200dcan handle the heat. Let\u2019s see if they can too. Buckle\u2063 up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>CNN, however,\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.semafor.com\/article\/09\/07\/2023\/vivek-ramaswamy-battles-with-cnn-over-a-town-hall\">told<\/a> <em>Semafor<\/em> \u2064 that Ramswamy jumped the gun in his announcement and that the two \u2062teams had not scheduled the town hall.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The information in Mr. Ramaswamy\u2019s post is incorrect and there is not a CNN Town Hall currently planned for September 12th,&#8221; a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/this-cop-joined-the-protest-that-became-a-riot-she-says-d-c-cops-colluded-with-antifa\/\" title=\"This Cop Joined the \u2018Protest\u2019 That Became a Riot. Cops Colluded With Antifa.\">spokesperson told<\/a> the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>Ramaswamy&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/vivek-ramaswamy-announces-cnn-town-hall-cnn-says-its-news-to-them\/\" title=\"Vivek Ramaswamy announces CNN Town Hall, CNN unaware.\">campaign disputed<\/a> the network&#8217;s statement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We had reached an agreement \u2062for September 12 in New\u200c York and even selected a moderator,&#8221; Ramaswamy campaign\u2064 spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin told <em>Semafor<\/em>.\u200d &#8220;CNN says they are looking for another date.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Four Republican presidential candidates have done town halls with CNN this \u2062cycle: former president Donald Trump, former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley, former vice president Mike Pence, and former New Jersey governor Chris Christie.<\/p>\n<p>Ramaswamy has\u2064 been criticized for flip-flopping\u200c on positions\u200c since he launched his \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-this-average-american-is-voting-for-donald-trump\/\" title=\"Why This Average American Is Voting for Donald Trump\">presidential campaign<\/a>. \u2063After he echoed a\u200d conspiracy theory \u200din comments to the <em>Atlantic<\/em> about the September 11 attacks, he accused the\u2063 publication of misquoting him. The <em>Atlantic<\/em> subsequently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/politics\/vivek-ramaswamy-busted-by-actual-tape-after-claiming-he-was-misquoted-on-9-11-conspiracy-theory\/\">released<\/a> \u2062the recording of the interview, proving it had quoted the 38-year-old entrepreneur correctly.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vivek Ramaswamy planned to join a CNN town hall, but the network clarified that the event was not yet confirmed with his campaign.
