She emphasized the significance of the Dietary Guidelines, stating, \u200d&#8221;By federal law,\u200c all federal\u200d programs must adhere\u2064 to \u200cit, including school lunches. A huge amount of money pours \u2064into these programs; they are considered the gold standard. No other policy has a greater influence on\u200b the food supply.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Teicholz further highlighted the \u2063issue of a &#8220;large captive population,&#8221; explaining \u2064that individuals in schools, hospitals, and prisons are essentially trapped into following these dietary guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>In a press release on Jan. 19, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary\u200d Xavier Becerra stated that the \u200dagency will \u200cbe \u2063guided by science\u2063 in the upcoming panel&#8217;s work. The \u200cgoal is to improve the health and wellbeing of all Americans.<\/p>\n<p>However,\u2064 some claims made by panelists have already faced \u200ccriticism. Dr. Fatima Cody Stanford, who received a significant amount of money \u2064from Novo \u200dNordisk, \u2063the creators of the weight loss drug Ozempic, stated\u200d on a\u200c recent episode of\u2064 &#8220;60 Minutes&#8221; that \u200cobesity\u200b is primarily a genetic \u200b&#8221;brain disease,&#8221; dismissing the impact of lifestyle choices.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Christopher Gardner, another panelist,\u200d has been vocal \u2063about his veganism and has advocated for \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cop26-delegates-served-meat-and-dairy-despite-u-n-calling-for-reduced-intake\/\" title=\"Cop26 Delegates Served Meat and Dairy Despite U.N.
