A \u200ddisruption that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.issquareup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">began\u2062 midday on Thursday<\/a>, however, left those customers without the ability to run their businesses effectively unless <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realAaronBergh\/status\/1699913353689452732?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">clients paid cash<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Despite <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%23squaredown&#038;src=typeahead_click\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hundreds of people<\/a> taking to \u200csocial media\u2063 to complain about the severe\u200d interruption, Square did not acknowledge\u200c the issue until Thursday evening.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe are\u200c currently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/to-the-moon-dogecoin-plummets-robinhood-experiences-issues-after-elon-musk-admits-its-a-hustle-on-snl\/\" title=\"\u2018To The Moon!\u2019 Dogecoin Plummets, Robinhood Experiences \u2018Issues\u2019 After Elon Musk Admits \u2018It\u2019s A Hustle\u2019 On SNL\">experiencing issues<\/a>\u2063 with multiple Square services,\u201d the company <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Square\/status\/1699922313704071497?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a> on X, \u200bformerly known as\u2064 Twitter,\u200d on Thursday at close of business. \u200b\u201cWe \u2063understand how important it is for your business that our services\u2063 be up and running, and we are actively working\u200c toward a fix.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>The POS \u200dcompany did \u200bnot offer an explanation \u2064for\u2062 the \u200dwidespread outage nor did it state\u200b when engineers expected systems to be up and running again. Square also did not answer any\u2064 of The Federalist\u2019s \u2062questions about the reason for the disruption.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, it directed business owners and The \u2062Federalist to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.issquareup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a> that offered little to \u2062no\u2062 information about the interruption other \u2062than pledging that Square was working to fix \u200bit.<\/p>\n<p>As of 11 p.m.\u200d Eastern on Thursday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cuomo-to-partially-reopen-indoor-dining-in-nyc-for-valentines-day-if-positivity-rates-hold\/\" title=\"Cuomo To Partially Reopen Indoor Dining In NYC For Valentine\u2019s Day, \u2018If Positivity Rates Hold\u2019\">small business owners<\/a> were still locked out of their Square sign-in portals and business accounts.<\/p>\n<div>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe \u2064are actively observing \u200cthe\u200b recovery\u2063 of all Square systems \u2062and will\u200d continue to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/what-we-know-about-the-suspected-chinese-spy-balloon-flying-over-united-states\/\" title=\"What We Know About The Suspected Chinese Spy Balloon Flying Over United States\">post live updates<\/a> here. As of Friday morning, however, it appeared many\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-appeals-to-small-business-in-expanded-bidenomics-pitch\/\" title=\"Biden targets small businesses in expanded Bidenomics pitch.\">small \u2062businesses<\/a> and\u2062 people won\u2019t be \u2063able to do digital or card-based transactions going into the weekend.
