With students suffering from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/9-year-old-girl-pepper-sprayed-during-interaction-with-rochester-police\/\" title=\"9-Year-Old Girl Pepper Sprayed During Interaction With Rochester Police\">mental health issues<\/a>\u2063 and\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/covid-reckoning-pro-lockdown-dems-struggle-in-governors-races\/\" title=\"COVID Reckoning: Pro-Lockdown Dems Struggle in Governor's Races\">plummeting test scores<\/a>, concerned mothers Tina Descovich and Tiffany\u2064 Justice, along with co-founder \u2064Bridget Ziegler,\u200c established the group to \u2064combat harmful policies \u2064and\u200b reinforce parental authority over their \u2064children&#8217;s education. Since then, Moms for Liberty has grown exponentially, with \u2064hundreds \u2063of chapters\u200b across the United States.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022,\u2063 the SPLC included Moms \u2064for Liberty in its annual Year in \u200dHate and Extremism report, branding the \u2062group\u200d as &#8220;far-right antigovernment\u2063 parents&#8221; who intimidate and harass educators. The SPLC accused\u2064 Moms for Liberty of being a prominent force in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/moms-for-liberty-promises-legal-action-over-splc-hate-and-extremism-report\/\" title=\"Moms For Liberty vows legal action against SPLC's 'hate and extremism' report.\">anti-student\u2062 inclusion \u200cmovement<\/a>, opposing the availability and teaching of explicit \u2063and Critical\u2063 Race Theory materials in schools.<\/p>\n<p>Tiffany Justice, \u200cco-founder of Moms \u2062for Liberty, vehemently denies these allegations \u200band\u200c plans to take legal action against the\u2064 SPLC for defamation. She asserts that the false designation is\u200c not only\u2062 damaging to their chapters\u200c nationwide but also\u2062 intentionally misleading.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re not threatening to do \u200bit, we&#8217;re going to do \u200dit \u200bif\u200b we feel that we have an ability to do that,&#8221; Justice stated. &#8220;Defamation is \u200da hard claim in court, but it is\u200d certainly \u2063affecting our chapters and \u2062hurting\u2064 our chapters all over the country, \u2063and intentionally\u2062 so is the\u200b point. And it&#8217;s totally unfounded.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The SPLC&#8217;s classification places Moms for Liberty alongside extremist groups such as \u2063neo-Nazis and white supremacists, \u200cas well as conservative Christian\u2064 organizations\u2064 like the Family Research Council. Critics argue that the SPLC\u200c often \u2062conflates mainstream conservatives\u200c and activists with racists and\u200d bigots.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The \u200cdesignation is being used\u2062 widely by the media. There are people,\u200c liberal activists, that \u200bare using it\u200b to try to hurt our chapters, to try to hurt our \u2063moms,&#8221; Justice continued. &#8220;The SPLC has put a target on the \u2064back of every\u2062 American mom and\u2062 dad.\u200b Shame\u2064 on\u200d them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Moms for Liberty\u2062 is already witnessing the negative impact of the \u2062SPLC&#8217;s designation on their outreach \u2062efforts. Events have\u2062 been canceled, and the group&#8217;s reputation has been tarnished. \u2063Justice insists that \u200bthe SPLC \u200dmust be held accountable for their actions.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Justice suspects that Moms for Liberty is facing pressure from \u200cthe\u2063 federal government. She has filed Freedom of Information Act requests with the Department of\u2062 Justice and the \u2062White House to uncover any potential misuse of \u200bthe SPLC\u2063 listing.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;We \u200cwant to know, how is this list being used? How is \u200bthe \u2064federal\u2063 government using this list? Are they using it?&#8221; Justice questioned. &#8220;What are \u2063they discussing? What\u2064 are they talking about?&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Moms for Liberty refuses to be silenced or shamed in\u2062 their\u200d fight for \u2064parental rights.
