Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), leaders from both parties in\u2063 the Senate have reached a consensus that \u2063the \u200bUnited\u2064 States should \u200boffer more military and financial assistance to Ukraine. In\u2064 fact, it&#8217;s a direct investment in replenishing America\u2019s \u200darsenal\u2062 with American weapons built by American workers. Expanding our defense industrial base puts America in a stronger position \u200dto out-compete China.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>However, there are concerns \u200dthat House Speaker Kevin McCarthy\u200d (R-Calif.) may separate funding for Ukraine from other urgent priorities. White House spokesperson Andrew Bates\u200c responded to this report, asserting that McCarthy should <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senate-leaders-united-on-more-aid-to-ukraine\/\" title=\"Senate leaders agree on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-asks-for-another-37-billion-in-ukraine-aid\/\" title=\"White House Asks for Another  Billion in Ukraine Aid\">providing additional aid<\/a> to Ukraine.&#8221;>prioritize\u2063 pressing issues<\/a> rather than cave to extreme members of his conference.<\/p>\n<p>NTD, The Epoch Times&#8217;s sister \u2064media, interviewed several senators about their opinions on the aid. Sen. She believes that while the U.S. should assist Europe in dealing with Russia&#8217;s illegal advance into\u2062 Ukraine, the primary responsibility\u2063 should lie with European countries.<\/p>\n<p>Sen. \u2062Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) echoed this\u2064 sentiment, stating that he would not support further funding for \u200cUkraine \u2064until\u200b the U.S. secures its own\u200d borders.
