Olmedo handed\u200b down the sentence to the 47-year-old\u200b actor\u2062 after hearing statements from the victims he sexually assaulted in 2003.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cMr. \u2062Masterson, I know\u200c that you\u2019re sitting here \u2064steadfast in\u200d your claims of innocence, and thus \u200cno \u200ddoubt feeling victimized by a justice system that \u200dhas failed you,\u201d Olmedo told Masterson before handing down \u200cthe sentence. \u200c\u201cBut Mr. \u2063Masterson,\u2064 you are not the victim here. Your actions 20 \u2064years ago took away another person\u2019s voice and choice. One way or another, you will have to come to \u2064terms with your prior actions and their \u200dconsequences.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A Los Angeles jury found \u2063Masterson guilty of \u200btwo counts of rape in a retrial in May. However, they were unable to decide on\u2063 another sexual assault charge involving an ex-girlfriend, Chrissie Carnell-Bixler.<\/p>\n<p>The retrial came\u2063 after three \u200cwomen, including Carnell-Bixler, accused Masterson of sexually assaulting them\u2064 between 2001 and 2003. Masterson allegedly drugged and raped the women in his Hollywood Hills home. The first round of deliberations ended in a mistrial in November.<\/p>\n<p>Before the sentencing, Masterson\u2019s lawyer, Shawn Holley, pleaded\u2063 for \u2063leniency, emphasizing the impact the sentence would have on Masterson&#8217;s life and his 9-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n<p>Masterson rose to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s while starring in \u201cThat \u201970s Show\u201d alongside Ashton Kutcher, \u200cMila Kunis, and Topher Grace. He later appeared in the Netflix comedy \u201cThe Ranch\u201d until his character was written\u2064 off following a police investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200b women who accused Masterson testified \u200dthat church officials conspired with him to \u2062cover up\u200c the incidents and discouraged them from reporting to law enforcement. The Church of Scientology has denied these\u200d allegations.<\/p>\n<p>Masterson \u200dhas consistently maintained his innocence, claiming that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/france-seeks-to-change-age-of-consent-to-15\/\" title=\"France Seeks To Change Age Of Consent To 15\">sexual relations<\/a> were consensual.
